God Didn’t Make You Homosexual
Q: I have just read God’s Word on Homosexuality and would like to say that being a homosexual is not a person’s choice. It is how we are made. Like my Dad is right-handed, but I’m left-handed. I didn’t choose to be left-handed, that’s just how I was born.
So if God is going to call me a sinner, just because of how I was made, I think I’ll forget God altogether. James
What You Are: Not What You Do
A: Thank you for your comments James, but you’ve missed a vital point, and have thereby thrown out the baby with the bathwater.
Almighty God does not classify homosexuals as sinners simply because of their perverse acts; It’s far more profound than that.
He calls all the unsaved, sinners, because that is what they are by nature.
Born sinful to the core, isolated from God because of Adam and Eve’s rebellion.
Every person born on Earth has been born a sinner by nature, except One, and you know His Name.
These people in the Holy Bible were born sinners, like you and me; Noah, Job, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, the Prophets, King David, all the Disciples, and of course Mary and Joseph, the recognized “parents” of The LORD Jesus Christ.
The Rock of Offence
You have said that you object to being labelled a sinner by Almighty God, and have taken offence, concluding that you will disregard everything God says, and all He has done for you in Christ Jesus.
That is spiritual pride, self-righteousness, and arrogance; claiming to know more than your omniscient and omnipotent Creator. A very injudicious response to God’s grace calling you to repent and believe on Christ.
Realise that you did not read that article on Homosexuality in the Bible by chance: It was The LORD Himself drawing you to turn from unbelief and trust wholeheartedly in The Living Christ.
The Truth Will Set You Free
Once you know Him personally, as LORD and Saviour, by being genuinely born of God, you will turn away from all sin, and will be released from the homosexual compulsions that drive you now.
God leaves you free to reject Him, and His written word the Holy Bible; that is your choice.
He permits you to continue in sin and unbelief for the whole of your earthly life, if you so choose.
However, rejection of the Truth does not alter The Truth one iota.
The Truth is true whether you believe it or not: Facts are stubborn things aren’t they?
You Have an Appointment
The written word of God makes it plain that each person is accountable at their Judgment for every thing they ever did, said, and thought.
Here, for example, is God in The Flesh making that very point, Mtt. 12:36 KJV;
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
The Holy Ghost reiterates this in Rom. 14:10-12 KJV;
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
We read of God’s Judgement in 1 Pe. 4:5-6 KJV;
Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
Hebrews 9:27 KJV speaks of the appointment nobody misses…
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Those are facts you are certain to face one day, despite your current unbelief.
Jesus wants you to understand this, so that you can prepare yourself, and know beforehand the outcome of your judgment.
Are you ready to face Almighty God?
To be judged in righteousness by The One who created the Cosmos and everything in it: Including you.
Sin is Never God’s Plan
Allow me to correct a serious misunderstanding you harbour.
God did not make you a homosexual, nor did He intend you to fall into that sinful lifestyle.
A friend of mine was born without feet or legs, only one, deformed, arm, and one eye.
Unlike you, he really was born that way.
If he thought as you do, he would accuse God for “making him deformed and crippled”, but he doesn’t, he’s wise enough to understand that deformity and corruption is never God’s plan for anybody’s life. As God in The Flesh demonstrated, Jn. 9:1-3 KJV;
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
My friend knows that his condition was caused by his mother taking Thalidomide whilst God was creating him in her womb. (Ps. 139:13)
The intricate developmental process was disrupted congenitally by the drug in her system. (Thalidomide is still widely sold throughout Asia, and banned in only a handful of countries worldwide.)
So whose fault is it? The; German manufacturer Grünenthal GmbH, medics, the pharmacy, the mother, the father?
Certainly neither God, nor my friend, are to blame.
Similarly, your Creator did not intend you to live a sin-filled life.
His plan for you was, and remains, entirely different.
Made By Love: For Love: To Love
He created you in love, to be His partner in love.
He planned you in His image, with a righteous spirit, a holy mind, and a perfectly sound body, enabling you to walk in harmony with Him, to think and act as He does, so fulfilling His purpose for your brief sojourn on Earth.
His purpose for each of us is beautiful, but you will never comprehend it unless, and until, you wholeheartedly turn from your own way, to His Way: The LORD Jesus Christ.
Christ’s first disciples wanted to know how to approach and please God, His reply is the key to Heaven on Earth, Jn. 14:6-12 KJV;
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
You do understand what Jesus is telling us there, don’t you?
It is time for you to grasp what Christ has done for you, and how He wants to use you for the remainder of your short life.

Christ Has Conquered Every Compulsion
