Atheist Scientists v Almighty God
Q: How, as Christians, do we view and respond to the news of the discovery of “the god particle”, the Higgs boson? Should we be alarmed that science may prove there is no God?
Dirty News v Good News
A: Pay no attention to secular news. It only contaminates Christians. I have No Television, radio, newspapers, or magazines, because I have no use for them.
The only news I desire is the Good News of the LORD Jesus Christ.
Fixing my attention on Him all the time keeps me; clean, happy, healthy, and effective.
Bad Science v True Science
Should Christians be alarmed?
Not in the slightest, no matter what “scientists” claim to have seen or proven.
Why?
Because genuine scientific discoveries always, and without exception, authenticate what Almighty God has written in the Holy Bible.
When a supposed “scientific” discovery contradicts what God’s word says, you can be certain the science is faulty.
There’s an awful lot of very bad science being done today.
Scientists need to work on their reputation, before they drop below politicians, journalists, cosmologists, and Catholics.
The “Big Bang” theory is a prime example.
Unsound logically, practically, and untestable: Thoroughly bad pseudoscience. It’s already been disposed of by respectable scientists.
The Christian View
Here’s where a Christian stands and remains;
The Holy Ghost writes of the LORD Jesus Christ, Col. 1:1:14-17 KJV;
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Inhale that perfect word, as though Christ stood before you saying “It is written of me…” and quoted it to you face to face.
Breathe in the word, assimilate the word, allow the word to rule and abide in you, and above all obey the word.
That is believing the word.
Only then will you have the peace of Christ that passes all understanding. (Phil. 4:7)
The final clause of this mighty scripture answers all the riddles of particle physics.
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

What the CERN scientists are claiming to observe, as “god particles”, is actually the outworking of the Living Word, who created matter, and holds it together, sustaining it by His Almighty power.
Modern science imagines how this is done, whilst trying to exclude the First Cause from their pet theories.
This method is the exact opposite to how the great classical scientists approached problem solving.
Sir Isaac Newton, (1642-1727) perhaps the greatest scientist God ever created, was a Creationist.
Newton formulated the laws of motion, mechanics, gravity, planetary motion, discovered the spectrum of white light, and founded the mathematical binomial theorem, and differential calculus.
Sir Isaac pointed to the perfect order, stability, complexity, and grandeur of our creation as prima facie proof of Almighty God as Creator.
A serious, though unorthodox, theologian, he also wrote books and papers on biblical prophecy, which he reckoned to be of greater importance than his other works on physics and mathematics.
Isaac Newton was to science what Johann Sebastian Bach was to music.
Modern science began flourishing in the seventeenth century as a direct result of the European Protestant Reformation.
Enquiring minds read God’s Word, noted He is a God of order, logic, and reason, and with that world-view, were stimulated to examine His Creation to see how He governed it practically.
In contrast, where pagan man-made “gods” are worshipped; the fickle, irrational, and illogical deities lead adherents to become hopeless fatalists, with no sound basis upon which to examine their world.
It was Protestant Christianity that revealed the Creator’s Divine character, and the foundation of order and reason proclaimed from Genesis to Revelation.
Modern science has forsaken its roots, it was birthed by biblical Christianity.
There is no conflict between Christianity and true science.
Only in the last 150 years has science been hijacked by atheists.
Who are, of course, doomed to prove themselves wrong.
What about the “god particle”?
English scientist, Peter Higgs, who doesn’t yet know Christ, developed a new theory of how atoms, of which matter is composed, hold together.
He proposed a new atomic particle that would exert a force on other types of particle, imparting to them mass.
In his honour the imagined particle was called the Higgs boson.
Because of its ability to “govern and influence” other particles Higgs’ publisher couldn’t resist the temptation to give it the provocative tabloid name of the “god particle”.
Atomic scientists at CERN built the Hadron Collider to look for evidence of this particle, by whizzing atoms around a 17-mile-long underground conduit, and cracking them together.
They claim to have collected sufficient data to confirm Dr. Higgs’ boson theory.
Time will tell, but it matters not a jot to Christians, if they have, or have not.
The enormous cost of funding this project (over six billion pounds so far) would have been better spent providing clean water, and toilets, for the millions in Asia and Africa who don’t have access to basic sanitation.
Will Science Prove There is No God?
Not a chance: Ever.
Such claims will come, and they will always be based upon bad-science.
Loudly trumpeted: But false.
Followed by quiet retractions when the faulty science is exposed, and silently shuffled under the carpet.
Perhaps you recall the fanfares proclaiming; “Life on Mars”, “Arsenic eating bacteria”, “Archaeoraptor”, and oh-so-many “ape-man missing-link” claims.
Each subsequently disposed of, buried by the truth.
True science will never prove there is no God, because God IS.
That is His Name. Ex. 3:14 KJV;
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
All that sound science can ever do is confirm what the Holy Bible says: Never disprove it.
They may, or may not, find evidence of how Christ holds all things together, but it won’t be news to any Bible believer that He does, will it?
I find it delightfully ironic that, despite their faith in atheistic false-assumptions, godless scientists continue to produce results that confirm the Bible’s truthfulness, and God’s existence.
God’s word never fails: Never. Amen
