To Ring a Nose
Q: Can a Christian have her nose pierced to wear a nose-ring or a jewelled stud?

First you ask, “Can a Christian…”
Which I answer with the scripture, 1 Co. 10:23 KJV;
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
People who pose questions like this have not understood the Gospel of Christ.
Christians are not under Law, but under grace. Rom. 6:14.
We do not follow rules and regulations, we follow Christ, the Living Word, led by His Spirit.
Christians conform to the moral aspects of the Old Covenant Law, without themselves being bound by the Law. It is a most glorious position, won for us through the Blood of Christ. (See Gal. Ch.5 and Heb. Ch.10.)
Lord: You Forgot My Nose Hole
Second, the rest of the question, can she; “…have her nose pierced to wear a nose-ring or a nose jewel?”
Why does she want to puncture her body, made in the image of God, draw blood, and bore a hole to hang a piece of metal or stone-crystal on?
She thinks it will make her look more attractive, but it won’t. It only makes her look, spooky and deformed, like tattoos do.
The source of the desire to do this is the Devil, demons, and the world: Never God.
God’s View on Nose Rings
But she’s heard that a woman in the Bible wore a nose-ring.
There are women mentioned in the Bible who ate their own babies. (2 Ki. 6, Lam. 4:10) Does that make cannibalism righteous?
Hindu idolaters wear nose-studs and rings, and worship demons masquerading as “gods”, fashioned as; monkeys, rats, cattle, and elephants. What is God’s opinion of such ignorance and folly?
God mocks those who copy pagan women, not only for their rank idolatry, but also for their stiff-necked self-idolisation and jewellery. Is. 3:16-24 KJV;
Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon, The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, The rings, and nose jewels, The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.
And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.
Read that in the Holy Ghost, and you have your answer direct from God.
Rebecca’s Nose Ring
Q: Didn’t Rebecca have a ring put through her nose by the man Abraham sent to find a wife for his son?
A: You’re doing well to read the Bible, but in error because you’ve read a broken Bible version, instead of the Holy Bible.
The Holy Bible tells us, in Genesis chapter 24, that Abraham sent his eldest trusted servant to find a perfect wife for Isaac, confident that the LORD would lead him to the ideal virgin-bride. Read the narrative, and rejoice at the way the Lord met the prayerful requests of the godly servant of Abraham the friend of God.
The Lord arranged a divine appointment with a beautiful, virgin, water-bearer called Rebekah (Rebecca), the perfect blood-relative Abraham sought.
The faithful servant put a gold earring and bracelets on Rebekah, and in recounting it to Laban said, Gen 24:47b;
…and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.
Notice, it was an ear-ring not a nose-ring, as some modern Bibles have mistranslated it. They are wrong, the KJV is correct.
The Hebrew word in question is always translated in the Holy Bible as earring, or as jewel, never as nose-ring.
Some object, “Well he put it upon her face, surely that means through her nose?”
Not at all, the face, in Hebrew and English, includes the ears.
The servant hung an ear-ring on one of Rebekah’s ears, he didn’t ram a ring through her nose.
Nose rings are not mentioned in the Holy Bible. The nearest to it is putting hooks through the noses of beasts to control them, just as farm vets do today with swine and bulls. And here, mockingly, the Lord likens a woman without discretion to a pig wearing a jewelled nose-stud. Prov. 11:22 KJV;
As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
To their eternal shame, people who choose to pierce their bodies are not interested in what the word of God has to say about it.
Nose-Jewels
Q: In Ezekiel 16:12, the Lord blesses Jerusalem metaphorically with a ring through the nose and earrings. I’m wondering what you thought of this? Kelcee
A: I commend you for studying the Bible, but you err in using a modern Bible version, instead of the Holy Bible. The verse you cite does not mention nose-rings, or nose-jewels, at all, Eze. 16:12 KJV;
And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
If your ‘Bible” reads ‘nose-ring’, or ‘nose-jewel’, instead of ‘forehead’, it’s simply wrong. Stick to God’s word in English, and you’ll not be led astray.
Throughout scripture you will find that the LORD uses the forehead as a prominent location to designate His blessing. However, people who don’t belong to Him, care little that Satan covets that site for his Mark of the Beast. Therefore, Christians guard their hearts, souls, and bodies, with due care.
