Of: Not In
Please read Part 1: The Faith of Christ, showing how God uses this expression.
The faith of Christ means what it says: The faith of Jesus of Nazareth.
It refers to His faith in God, not to our faith in Jesus.
It speaks of the integrity of His walk with God, not ours.
The faith of Christ involves only Jesus and God, independent of anyone else.
It is talking about His faith walk, not your faith in Christ.
Ah now you begin to see why it matters!
Satan Hates This
Oh this is such a precious foundation, an immovable Rock. No wonder the Devil tries to erase it from the Bible.
The faith of Christ refers to His perfect integrity, His spotless fidelity, His righteous obedience to His Father.
You Wobble: He Didn’t
Tell me about your faith walk. How’s your obedience to your heavenly Father?
Just like me, you fall short don’t you? You miss the mark. Sometimes, you even knowingly sin.
Many believers’ faith is like a Yo-Yo, up and down, they feel saved at breakfast, but lost at lunchtime.
Thank God He’s given us the perfect foundation upon which to base our believing.
I believe in the LORD Jesus Christ, that He is God in the Flesh, that He died for my sins, and was raised for my justification.
That’s scriptural and correct, isn’t it?
But look at this;
Perfect & Finished
The reason God wants us to have faith in His Son, is because His Son’s faith was perfect.
Because the faith of Christ was spotless, He could be the innocent Lamb of God sacrificed in our place.
Here’s the nub; If the faith of Christ had not been pristine, pure, and faultless, He could not have become our Saviour.
He would have had to die for His own sin. He would not have arisen from the dead, and we’d still be lost and condemned.
But the faith of Christ was impeccable, faultless, unblemished.
Compare that with your faith in Christ. How are you doing?
His faithfulness to God was perfect. No sin, no infidelity, no unfaithfulness at all: None.
Ever.
Now keep that Gospel fact in mind and read out-loud Gal. 2:16 KJV;
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
We are justified by the faith of Christ, God the Holy Spirit says so twice in that verse alone. His faith justifies those who believe in Him.
Has the penny dropped yet?
Glory!
Perfect Atonement
Listen, the expiation and propitiation of our sins was because of the fidelity of the faith of Christ.
If the faith of Christ had lost fidelity, His Blood would cease being sinless.
The faith of Christ kept His Blood sinless, making the way for our atonement, salvation, and eternal redemption. Rom 3:24-25 KJV;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
We are saved by our faith in Christ’s Blood, but that Blood would have been useless to save anyone if the faith of Christ had not been perfect.
What does this mean for me and you?
It’s All Done!
It means we are certain of our salvation and justification before God because of the faith of Christ.
Halleluia!
He did it all for us, never missed the mark: Perfection in the Flesh took our place on the Cross, and by believing His faith was perfect, we are set free from sin, guilt, and all condemnation.
Do you see how important this is now?
It removes all sense of straining, we have no worry about our salvation, there are no hoops to jump through. The faith of Christ guarantees our salvation.
This is what the modern Bibles hide, this is the Truth that sets you free from fear.
Your faith walk is imperfect, and incomplete, but Christ’s was immaculate and is completed.
He sat down at the right hand of God, His mission accomplished.
That is why you can have God’s Peace because of the faith of Christ.
You believe in Him, and so are saved, but that rests upon the foundation of the faith of Christ.
Now, as you go back to read the previous scriptures once more, you will see with new eyes how wonderful it is to put your whole trust in the faith of Christ.
Do it now!
And please, get a real Holy Bible, a KJV, and read it
