Walk in the Light as He is In the Light
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanseth us from all sin.
Holy Bible 1 Jn. 1:5-7 KJV
The New Covenant of the Holy Bible teaches Christians to Walk With God by following the Inner Witness: God’s Seal of Salvation in believer’s hearts.
The Anointing Within
This spiritual witness is also described as an unction, an anointing. 1 Jn. 2:20 KJV;
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
It is the Holy Spirit teaching and leading us in our spirits, and is completely reliable because it is God’s Spirit. 1 Jn. 2:27 KJV;
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
By following this anointing, we obey the gentle leading of the Inner Witness of God, and walk in the light.
We remain in fellowship with Jesus, uncontaminated and free from sin, cleansed by His Blood.
Walking With Jesus
We live and walk in God’s Presence, in fellowship with The Almighty.
Fellowship means; friendship, harmony, agreement, companionship, unity in purpose, with no disagreement.
So as we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we develop greater understanding of His will, mind, and purpose.
Whoever Has Will Be Given More
Walking in the light proves your love for Jesus is real, your intimacy with God deepens because you obey Him, and He promises to reveal Himself to you. Jn. 14:21 KJV;
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Jesus’ Blood Purifies Us From Sin
When we emerge from darkness into light we immediately perceive what we couldn’t before.
Spiritual matters become clearer as we walk in God’s Light.
Disobedience is sin, walking in spiritual darkness and confusion.
But the moment we repent, and return to the light, the Blood of Jesus cleanses us of all sin and restores fellowship with Him: Heaven on Earth.
No Grey Areas
The inner witness, or anointing within, is the Presence of God inside you. That is why Jesus taught in Lk. 17:21 KJV
The kingdom of God is within you,
It is the primary method God uses to teach and lead His children.
It’s not a voice, it is an inner knowledge; you just know something deep inside. Far deeper than your mind, conscience, or emotions.
We know it by The Spirit He gave us, 1 Jn. 3:24 and 4:13 KJV;
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Hereby we know that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
By the Spirit you distinguish; right from wrong, truth from error, wisdom from folly, and so on. And most importantly; the leading always agrees with the written word of God, the Holy Bible, because The written word and The Holy Spirit confirm each other.
God commands us to study the Scriptures (2 Tim. 2:15), in order that we have His written foundation to verify that we are indeed attending to His Spirit in our hearts, and not our own thoughts and desires.
So we consume God’s Book avidly.
Soaked in God’s word, you must also learn to focus on the spiritual Inner Witness in your heart, and follow it all the time to stay in God’s will for your life.
