And Healed Them All
When sinners trust in Christ they are healed by their faith in Him.
And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
Luke 6:17-19 KJV
Moral Perfection
God’s words contain the virtue to manifest what they say.
Why?
Because they come from the heart of God: They are divine words.
His words represent Him: Christ is the Image of God.
To know God; believe, embrace, and follow His words.
The Source of Virtue
As our hearts remain in-step with God’s Spirit His words have the same power on believers’ lips
God has complete faith in His words, they manifest His moral perfection … virtue.
Believers are required to have the same faith in God’s words as He does. Mark 11:22-23 KJV;
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
The KJV Translators’ marginal note next to Have faith in God, is the alternative reading, Have the faith of God. We are to have the God-kind of faith.
When we walk believing like God does, His words will be manifested just as Father worked through Jesus.
Redemption
The main purpose of God coming to Earth as The LORD Jesus Christ, was to legally purchase the redemption of the world, so that we can have God’s Spirit living in us.
That is accomplished the instant a sinner repents of unbelief in Christ, and begins to follow Him as LORD.
When the believer acts on the promises of God’s written words, the same virtue that flowed through Jesus flows through us to bless, heal, and draw people to The LORD.
That’s happening as you read this and look to The LORD.
For She Said
This sick woman’s faith in God’s virtue healed her chronic uterine bleeding, Mk. 5:25-34 KJV;
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Whose faith made her whole?
Her faith in Him; His virtue, His power, and in His righteousness.
One Touch Transferred Virtue
Virtue brings healing that can be sensed by the giver and recipient, Lk. 8:43-48 KJV
And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Touching His robe at once cured her bleeding of twelve years duration. So contemplate
what can happen when He lives inside our spirit, and we fulfil His words.
Align Our Thoughts With His
Father wants His children to think virtuous thoughts only, Phil. 4:8 KJV;
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Like Precious Faith
Believers are called to God’s Living Word, and expected to add virtue to our faith through trusting the promises He declares. 2 Pe. 1:1-11 KJV;
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
What’s Your Heart’s Desire?
Our Creator has graciously left us to decide how much of Him, and His virtue, we want in our lives: He’s humble, not pushy.
He’ll allow you to follow your own “personal beliefs”, to satisfy your lusts, and do as you want.
But know this; ultimately you’ll be shipwrecked in the estuary of unbelief: Nose on the rocks, grumbling and blaming God.
But you’re not like that are you? You’re wise enough to take God at His word, trusting His precious promises, obeying His leading, thereby growing into the likeness of Christ, and thrilling Father’s bruised Heart.
You’re His heart’s desire, so make Him yours now and alway by embracing Him and His Good News.
What Good News?
The Good News of the good things Christ has already done for everyone.
Good news if you are a sinner, The LORD Jesus Christ has borne your sin, while you are still sinning.
Why?
So that when you repent from unbelief and believe on Him, your sin and guilt can be remitted, and your heavenly account will be made clean as snow instead of black as night.
So what?
Quit rejecting His redemption offered to you today, and accept Christ as LORD and Saviour.
The good news that God in The Flesh has not only borne your sin, guilt and punishment, but also took your diseases and sickness on Himself at Calvary.
Why?
So that as you believe on Him and follow in His steps you will be healed, set free from sickness and all Satan’s power.
So what?
So accept His redemption of both your spirit and your body and be totally healed inside and out.
The Good News that God has come from Heaven and fixed your sin problem once and for all.
Why?
Because you’re lost in sin and bound by demon power, unable to break free.
So what?
So repent from unbelief, the greatest sin of all; believe on Christ as LORD and Saviour, and you will know you are free forever, and will be welcomed into Heaven.
