Genuine or Forgery?
Q: What is your opinion of the accusation that the Sinai Bible at The British Museum is a modern fake?
A: First of all, don’t be swayed by man’s opinion on anything of importance, get your answers to life’s questions from your Heavenly Father.
That’s what I’ve always done since I was saved in January 1988.
You see, human opinion is flawed: God’s word is faultless.
You’ve surely learned that from your own experience.
By God’s word, I refer to His written word in English KJV, AV, KJB and to His spoken word to a believer’s heart, the Rhema word of God conveyed directly by the Holy Ghost.
Those Two Witnesses always, and without exception, corroborate each other.
To perceive the Rhema word, a genuine believer needs to remain Spirit-filled, and obedient.
Sin clogs your spiritual ears
Every Spirit-filled, born again believer in The LORD Jesus Christ has free access to the wisdom of God through Christ’s Redemptive Sacrifice, Jas. 1:5 KJV;
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Believe that divine promise, and keep the only condition to receiving a definitive answer, Jas. 1:6-8 KJV;
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
The Author Knows His Own Word
I asked Father about the Sinaiticus, (aka; Aleph, the Hebrew letter א) when first saved, and again in 2009, as the fanfare arose when it was put online.
Both times, He confirmed to my heart the Sinaiticus (א) is a complete hoax foisted on the world by Roman Catholic agents of the Vatican.
As Genuine as Father Christmas
It is an idol as blasphemous as The Mass, The Golden Calf, and statues of Christ: A concocted modern creation designed to “authenticate” the Vaticanus Codex (aka; ‘B’) which is secreted in the Vatican Library.
The Vaticanus Codex (B) is an Alexandrian cult translation into Greek, dated to the 4th Century AD.
In addition to countless omissions, corrections, and erroneous insertions, The Vaticanus (B) also contains the spurious books of the “Apocrypha”, which are essential to uphold Roman Catholic false doctrines such as Purgatory, and to endorse their Septuagint Myth.
C. von Tischendorf
Constantin von Tischendorf was used to “discover” corroborating evidence, (enter the “Sinaiticus” (א) stage left) and thereby ultimately justify the use of the Vaticanus (B) as the basis for a “One World Bible”, for the End Times.
A process which is well underway in the world today.
Believers Have Always Known
That the Sinaiticus (א) is a massively corrupted cult “Bible”, is not news, indeed it was exposed as such, over a hundred and thirty years ago by Oxford Professor of Divinity, and later Dean of Chichester, Dr. John W. Burgon.

Burgon carried out meticulous research to rebut German theologians; Griesbach, Tregelles, Westcott and Hort, and the “discoverer” of the Sinaiticus Codex (א), Tischendorf.
Burgon overwhelmingly proved their ideas to be mere inventions of man.
German theories of “Textual Criticism”, guided their “Revision” of the Authorised Version, published as the “Revised Version”, in 1881.
Burgon’s carefully documented studies collated in his landmark book The Revision Revised, leave no doubt, for the objective reader, that the Vaticanus (B) and Sinaiticus (א) Codices are not reliable copies of the written word of God.

But here an important consideration claims special attention.
We allude to the result of increased acquaintance with certain of the oldest extant codices of the N.T. Two of these, viz. a copy in the Vatican technically indicated by the letter B, and the recently-discovered Sinaitic codex, styled after the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet א , are thought to belong to the IVth. century.
Two are assigned to the Vth, viz. the Alexandrian (A) in the British Museum, and the rescript codex preserved at Paris, designated C.
One is probably of the VIth, viz. the codex Bezæ (D) preserved at Cambridge.
Singular to relate, the first, second, fourth, and fifth of these codices (B א C D), but especially B and א, have within the last twenty years established a tyrannical ascendency over the imagination of the Critics, which can only be fitly spoken of as a blind superstition.
It matters nothing that all four are discovered on careful scrutiny to differ essentially, not only from ninety-nine out of a hundred of the whole body of extant MSS. besides, but even from one another.
This last circumstance, obviously fatal to their corporate pretensions, is unaccountably overlooked. And yet it admits of only one satisfactory explanation: viz. that in different degrees they all five exhibit a fabricated text.
Between the first two (B and א) there subsists an amount of sinister resemblance, which proves that they must have been derived at no very remote period from the same corrupt original.
Tischendorf insists that they were partly written by the same scribe. Yet do they stand asunder in every page; as well as differ widely from the commonly received Text, with which they have been carefully collated.
On being referred to this standard, in the Gospels alone, B is found to omit at least 2877 words: to add, 536: to substitute, 935: to transpose, 2098: to modify, 1132 (in all 7578):
The corresponding figures for א being severally 3455, 839, 1114, 2299, 1265 (in all 8972).
And be it remembered that the omissions, additions, substitutions, transpositions, and modifications, are by no means the same in both.
It is in fact easier to find two consecutive verses in which these two MSS. differ the one from the other, than two consecutive verses in which they entirely agree.
I recommend all Burgon’s books to you, they are studious, but not difficult to follow, even if you have little comprehension of Bible Greek and Hebrew.
From the same reference on pp 41 Burgon concludes by assuring;
… without a particle of hesitation, that א B D are three of the most scandalously corrupt copies extant: Exhibit the most shamefully mutilated texts which are anywhere to be met with: Have become, by whatever process (for their history is wholly unknown), the depositories of the largest amount of fabricated readings, ancient blunders, and intentional perversions of Truth, which are discoverable in any known copies of the Word of GOD.
Let’s Make it Look Old
You are perhaps asking about this topic, because recent examination of the online Sinaiticus (א) continues to expose the fakery.
Not only is the text itself one of the most corrupted in existence, but the pages of vellum show obvious attempts to artificially stain and “age” them.
It’s yet another fake Dr. Tischendorf “found” to support his pro-Roman Catholic sponsors.
What amazes me is that anybody is still being taken-in by it, (it’s in their interests to claim it is genuine) and that the British Museum squanders its reputation by perpetuating the hoax.

Stick to the 1769 KJV Standard Text: It is the perfect translation of God’s written word in English.
