    Read Part I

    Easter Passover

The sinless Lamb of God was slain at Calvary, bearing the guilt, sickness, infirmities, and punishment, of mankind.

God’s wrath and judgment was poured on Him.

He died the sinner’s death you deserve.

    He wanted to.

The Lamb of God offered Himself willingly, that is why Isaiah prophesied He wouldn’t argue or justify himself before his killers.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

    Is. 53:7 Holy Bible, KJV

He wasn’t trapped, haltered, or driven, to be tortured and crucified. He was led by the Holy Spirit, and followed obediently, like a trusting lamb.

On the third day, in accordance with the Messianic prophesies, Christ arose from the Pit of Hell. Death could not hold Him because the price was paid in full for all your sins.

He showed himself to those who first believed, and then went back to Heaven, offering His Blood in the Most Holy Place to seal the New Covenant in His Blood.

    The Blood is Crucial

Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood…

    Rev. 1:5b KJV

    This is the deal:

Every sinner who truly believes that Jesus is the Christ, (meaning Almighty God in the Flesh), that He died for them and arose again; who receives Him into their heart, confessing Him as LORD and Saviour; is forgiven, made righteous, becomes God’s child, accepted in the Beloved. In a word: Saved!

    Have you done that yet?

Make sure today, don’t leave it to chance, or rely on some religious ceremony. Get right with God, and come to Him the Bible way: Through heart faith in Christ’s finished Sacrifice once and for all.

Then you will worship Him in spirit and truth, and look forward to eternity in Heaven where the Lamb of God is enthroned.

    Lamb on The Throne

It was through reading John’s Gospel that I first believed, so I treasure it.

God later showed me the oldest fragment of the New Testament known on Earth today. I held it in my hands at the John Rylands manuscript collection, Manchester, UK.

It is a small triangular fragment of papyrus written only 130 years after the resurrection of Christ. It bears the verses John 18:31-33 and 18:37-39.

Look them up. It’s the stunning exchange between Pilate and the Lamb of God. Read it, and you will know that nothing is by chance. That is why you are here reading this today.

Satan tried to murder the Apostle John countless times, even having him submerged in boiling oil. But he couldn’t kill the Apostle because Jesus had said,

If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

    Jn. 21:22a KJV

That word protected John until Christ returned to him via an angel in the Revelation vision. Jesus gave John a glimpse into Heaven during his last years imprisoned on Patmos.

The final chapters abound with references to Christ on the Throne receiving the worship and praise of Heaven. The cherubs, seraphs, angels, saints, and elders proclaim His Glory, and the eternal redeeming power of His Blood.

The focus of Heaven’s adulation is revealed not as our awesome King of kings, not the magnificent Lion of Judah, but as a meek Lamb; One who had been slain.

So meek, He consciously followed His Shepherd’s Voice to death and Hell, for you and me.

So faithful and trusting, He believed He would be raised up and justified by His Heavenly Father. Even after His Father turned away from Him at the Cross.

Think long and hard about that, and worship Him.

So gentle and kind, He calls you to become a lamb of God, and follow the Shepherd of your soul wherever He leads.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

    Is. 53:6 KJV

Listen to the Voice of the Shepherd, lay down your life for Him, and He will raise you up.

He’s given you His Word. His Living Word, who died for you.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    Jn. 3:16 KJV

That is the true message and meaning of Easter.
