    Demon possession

Q: I have a strange question; is it possible for someone who was possessed by multiple demons (at least two by name), and eventually committed suicide at their prompting, to try to “come back” into another person?

Perhaps it is just the demons that possessed him trying to return through my friend (his ex-girlfriend), but they are pretending to be her ex-boyfriend. She is trying to bathe herself in the Holy Spirit, but she has been out of church, and out of His authority for so long, that I feel she is still susceptible to them. Any advice would be a phenomenal blessing at this point. Sherry

A: This is not as complicated as you think.

Excuse my bluntness, I don’t want to hurt anybody, but for brevity, let’s put emotion and feelings aside and deal with the facts.

The dead boyfriend was either oppressed, or possessed, by demons, who eventually led him to commit suicide. He was unsaved, and became a self-murderer, and so is doomed, Hell-bound. It’s too late for him. Suicide is a shortcut to Hell. 1 Jn. 3:15, Rev. 21:8, 22:15.

His death was the demon’s victory, they left him, and remain on Earth looking for another victim. 1 Pe. 5:8, Jn. 10:10a.

It is impossible for the dead boyfriend to “come back”, talk to, or influence people in this world in any way. Lk. 16:26, Rev. 20:11-15.

What your girlfriend is experiencing is oppression from demons.

It may be the same demons, or others; they will know the story of the dead boyfriend, so may mimic him in order to fascinate, scare, and convince her. Demons are great actors, and love to put on a side-show. 2 Co. 11:14-15.

She’s either unsaved or backslidden, and wide open to demonic attack. They want to kill her, and mean business. Jn. 10:10.

So you are right to be very concerned.

The solution is easy. Lk. 10:17-20.

She must get saved, repent of all occult activity (including drugs and rock music), and walk with Jesus. It is also important that she becomes filled with the Holy Spirit soon after she is genuinely saved.

A powerless denominational church is no use to anybody. Find a good Spirit-filled fellowship, and get them to help.

    Where do demons live?

A: Here on Earth; they were previously angels in Heaven, but when they chose to rebel with the Archangel Lucifer (Satan), they were cast down to Earth with him. (Job 1:7, Is. 14:12-15, Lk.10:18, Jude 6, Rev. 12:3-9, Ez. 28:15-17)

They are invisible, spirits without bodies.

The good news is a Christian has power over them through Jesus’ Name. Lk. 10:17-20. Learn to use it, and you will walk in victory, and make demons tremble at your approach.

The Law of Love: Sensational, and inspiring: The Lord plucked a posh young Christian from Surrey, and sent her into the squalid drug dens of Hong Kong to teach us how to really love sinners.

    Did Lucifer become Satan?

Q: Satan, before his rebellion against God, is often referred to by the name “Lucifer”, is that really true? I cannot find it in the Bible. Philip

A: Yes, it’s true and perfectly biblical, read this article: Where do demons come from?, look up the Bible references given there, and you will see for yourself.

    Sinners and Demons

Q: Can a Christian have a demon? Maddy

A: Too wooly a question, you must be precise in your terms:

Can a Christian be possessed by a demon? No, it is unthinkable. Col. 1:13.

Can a Christian be oppressed by a demon?

Certainly. Usually through unbelief, disobedience, and ignorance of redemption.

For example, sickness is the oppression of Satan; healing comes through hearing about, believing in, and embracing our full redemption through Christ. Ac. 10:38.

    Supernatural deceptions

Q: What is your position on; Psychics, Chakras, E.S.P?

A: They belong to the realm of the occult. Sinners are often fascinated by them, lured into spiritual snares, and demonized through such evil devices.

Christians have no interest in the occult. It is emphatically denounced in the Bible. Christians love and follow the Truth, not sin and deception. If you have been seduced by occult traps, you need to repent and turn to the Lord.
