Christ Promised
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Disciples had been asking whether the Lord would at that time restore again the kingdom to Israel.
Christ told them that it was not for them to know the times and seasons which the Father had put in His own power, but He promised them that when they received the Holy Ghost, they should receive power to witness for Him in all the world.
To receive the Holy Ghost is to receive power with God, and power with men.
There is a power of God, and there is a power which is of Satan.
