An Aspirin a day keeps some cancers away, sometimes
Q: Should Christians be taking a daily Aspirin to prevent cancer, heart attacks, and strokes?
A: I assume you ask because of the recent news about the anti-cancer properties of a daily dose of 75 mg. of Aspirin (Salicylic acid).
The premiere British medical journal, The Lancet, reports that taking a daily Aspirin results in up to 54 percent reduction of the incidence of cancers in over 45 year-olds.
We are hearing claims that it is the new “Wonder Drug”.
I wonder?
Let’s be clear; not all cancers, just “some” cancers, and only half of some of those are “reduced”.
That really impresses medics, they think it is dramatically effective. Half of some are reduced! Stop the press!
It has long been known that Aspirin also helps to ward off heart attacks and strokes. (As well as causing gastric bleeding and other unpleasant side-effects.)
Should Christians therefore become pill-poppers to prevent cancer?
If you have not yet understood the Gospel of Christ, and the fullness of your Blood-bought redemption, you ought to get all the medical insurance, and medical help you can, because you will surely need it soon!
But for each Christian who has heard, and embraced, what Christ has done in redeeming us from sin, sickness, and Hell; to rush to the pharmacy for a bottle of drugs is unbelief in action.
The yeast of hypocrisy, and the opposite of Bible faith.
Christians stand in their office as children of God and declare their total confidence in the word of the Lord.
Sinners may take an Aspirin a day, but the child of God has medicine far superior.
It costs us nothing, is guaranteed by The Maker to be one hundred percent effective, and never causes any harmful side-effects.
We have a choice; to gamble on the arm of men who promise a little relief for “up to half of some cancers”, or to trust in the sure and certain Promises of God to completely save and heal ALL who trust in Him.
I made my choice the moment I was saved, what about you?
God’s Medicine Cabinet
Every day I take the very best Medicine, it contains all the medicine I’ll ever need to keep me strong and healthy, and it costs me nothing.
I carry my Medicine Chest with me, and hide it in my heart.
C’mon, let’s dose up on God’s Medicine.

These are just a few of the scriptures pointing to the perfect redemption given to Christians under the New Covenant.
There are many more healing scriptures.
We have a perfect redemption today.

Time and time again I have visited the sick and dying, declared God’s word over them in faith, and seen His perfect deliverance.
This stuff works!
Christ’s method worked for Peter, John, Paul, Wigglesworth, and countless believers down the centuries.
It will work for you too when you only believe and act on your faith.
