He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Everybody Has To Be Somewhere

It takes no effort to dwelleth.

You currently dwell in a country.

It took labour to reach it, either by; birth, bus, train, ship, walking or flying, but once you arrived nothing’s required for you to stay: You simply dwelleth there as a fact of your existence.

It is the same with the secret place of the most High.

God Puts Believers In The Secret Place

You were transported into Christ by the Holy Ghost the instant you turned from the sin of unbelief, and believed on Christ as your LORD.

Almighty God’s Spirit lifts the new believer into Christ Jesus: God’s Secret Place, and the power to do so is God’s alone, through the precious Blood of Christ and His faith: Jesus did all the work, you merely embraced Him, were counted in the beloved, and made righteous by faith in His Name.

Praise God for His infinite mercy to those who turn wholeheartedly to His Only Begotten Son and Receive Jesus as their LORD.

In Christ’s Kingdom on Earth

Your mortal frame, your body, dwells in a nation: You, your spirit, the real you, the inner man, lives in Christ wherever you travel thereafter.

Will He Be in England?

I was saved on Saturday the 16th. of January 1988, in a side-room of a Baptist church in Auckland, New Zealand, as four faithful believers prayed for my Muslim girlfriend and me.

We received Christ joyously, and were instantly made new creatures in Christ, baptised the next day by full-immersion in water, and continued travelling around Kiwi-land in our Morris J4 van. (You may wish to read how God used a pair of socks to bring me to Himself.)

I’d worked as a veterinary surgeon fulfilling locums around NZ, so now had opportunity to settle and continue our new life in Christ, but instead I was led to return to my family in the UK, to tell them about the power of the precious Blood of Jesus.

Walking along Queen’s Street in downtown Auckland, I noticed an Air New Zealand blackboard-special, and immediately booked one-way tickets to Blighty. It was God’s leading in answer to prayer, but I remember being concerned that this wonderful transformation inside might just be a part of our Kiwi-experience, and vanish as we flew from what used to be known as God’s Own country.* New Zealand has since been wrecked as a NWO Guinea pig nation.

However, when we disembarked at Gatwick, London, I was delighted to discover Christ’s Spirit in my heart was still fellowshipping and communicating with me just as in New Zealand.

You may laugh at my naivety, but I was a mere babe in Christ new to Life in the Spirit.

His Mercy Endureth Forever

I’ve since discovered He remains exactly the same wherever He sends me to share His message of redemption and grace, and He still does the miracles He did in Bible days wherever people repent and believe on Him.

God’s Secret Place is In Christ Jesus

He placed you there, and only He can keep you there. You took no part except to receive what God freely offered, so you have no room to boast, 1 Cor. 1:30-31 KJV;

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Realize and embrace that Gospel fact, so you’ll walk in peace enjoying Him always.

It’s Almighty God alone who keeps you dwelling in Christ.
