Is 31st. October the Devil’s birthday?
Q: Is Halloween a celebration of Satan’s birthday?
A: No, the Devil is a created spiritual being, he has never been born of woman himself, so cannot have a birthday. (Is. 14:12-15, Ez. 28:15-17, Lk. 10:18, Jude 6, Rev. 12:3-9.)
October 31st., or Halloween, is often called the “Devil’s night” because of the traditional demonic revelry sinners indulge in on that day. Halloween is a modern form of Baal worship. Real Christians do not take part in such nonsense, instead they use it as an opportunity to evangelise.
Satan’s child?
Q: I was born on October 31st., so does that mean I’m the Devil’s child?
A: We are all born children of the Devil whatever our birthday. (Eph. 2:1-3, Jn. 8:42-44, Ro. 3:10)
When Adam and Eve forfeited their relationship with God (Gen. 3:6-24) they inherited the sinful nature of Satan, and they passed this evil nature onto all their descendants (Ro. 5:12-19). That is why each of us must be born again. When we receive Christ as LORD and Saviour, we are delivered from Satan’s family, and become children of God. (Jn. Ch. 3, 1:12-13, 1 Jn. Ch.3)
Only one Person has ever been born of woman, and been a child of God from birth: The LORD Jesus Christ. (Is. 9:6, Mtt. 1:22-23, 3:17)
If it bothers you that your birthday is on Halloween, the answer is simple. Get saved, and take that day as your new birthday, and celebrate it then. You’ll still have to use your first birthday on official forms of course. But the truth is that your real life only begins when you experience the New Birth (1 Jn. 5:12).
Another approach would be to celebrate your birthday on 31st. Oct., but instead of having a party, go out, proclaim the Good News, and win souls.
It would give you the perfect opportunity to contrast your flesh birth, with your actual spiritual new birth. I’ve got a chum who likes to illustrate what Christ has done for him by going into the streets shackled hand and foot in chains.
He preaches in the roughest areas, and tells sinners how they feel, and points them to the only One who can break their chains. So why not go to the ironmongers, and buy the biggest padlock and chain you can find, but don’t forget the Key is the Gospel of Christ.
Spiritualism
Q: Can a Christian consult a spiritualist?
A: That would be the sin of witchcraft, emphatically condemned, and repeatedly forbidden in God’s word. (De. 18:10-11, Gal. 5:19-21)
Some people who call themselves ‘Christian’ do consult fortune tellers, astrologers, and spiritualists, to seek guidance and comfort. It is particularly common in Africa and Asia for people to pick and mix from different “spiritual” sources, often accompanied by the sin of gambling.
Real Christians would not commit such sins, because they know the awful consequences; dishonouring the LORD, demonic entrapment and oppression, loss of fellowship with Father, unanswered prayer, sickness, financial loss, relationship and mental problems.
Besides, real Christians don’t need to dabble in the occult to find answers, because they have free access into the Holy of Holies, and a hotline to the Throne of God through the Name and Blood of Jesus.
When you find yourself attracted to spiritualism, wake up, realize who is behind it, and get saved.
That is why Satan is promoting the occult Harry Potter craze to prepare children for the unveiling of the AntiChrist in the Final Days.
Are Thoughts Really Private?
Q: Can the Devil read our minds?
A: That’s answered here: Is Satan a mind-reader?
