To His Church
The final words of the risen ascended Christ, in the Holy Bible, include this passage, with a dire warning to all the churches on Earth, Rev. 22:13-16 KJV;
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Image Worshipper or Christ Worshipper?
Anybody who does not truly worship the Living Christ of the Holy Bible, in the way He instructs us to worship God, is an idolater, an image worshipper.
Such people call themselves believers and attend church, that is why The LORD’s message is sent to the churches; but they worship an imaginary “Lord”, one they have created in their own minds, not the true Christ of the Holy Bible reigning in Glory.
They do not worship The LORD in spirit and in truth. Jn 4:23 KJV;
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
True Believers
The true believers Father requires are those who worship in spirit and in truth… and who do His word, in addition to praising Him, believers who worship the Living Christ, not an image.
More Than Meets The Eye
Idolaters don’t require a physical image; a statue, an idol, a painting, shrine, crucifix, etc, it can be a mental image, and many religious people fall into this category.

These deluded souls worship a false-Christ of their group’s making, instead of the Christ depicted in the Holy Bible.
They invent doctrines, and hammer scriptures moulding a “Christ” that suits them, much like artisans craft; stone, metal, and wooden, idols to bow down to.
They are image worshippers, idolaters, just as much as Muslims compulsively prostrating towards their black stone, Hindus offering sacrifices to elephant and monkey gods, Buddhists kneeling before a gold leaf encrusted idol of a dead monk, and Catholics praying the rosary, partaking of the idolatrous mass, and grovelling before a man-made crucifix.
Heart Idolatry
The sobering fact is, greed, and covetousness are denounced as idolatry in the Bible (Read Col. 3:5, Eph. 5:5, 1 Co. 10:7 KJV). The Holy Ghost reminds us what we were before we were Washed in the Blood, 1 Co. 6:9-11 KJV;
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Halleluia! We have been washed, sanctified, and justified, and so likewise we are exhorted by God’s Spirit to walk in the Light, holy, pure, separated, and blameless before Him in love.
He’s coming soon for His pure virgin Bride, not a compromising, carnal, make-believing, idolater.
Let us honour His Anointing within our hearts, and make Father proud of His children’s love for Him: He deserves our all. Amen!
Summary
The Holy Ghost summarises the point for believers thus, 1 Co. 10:14, Pr. 4:23 KJV;
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Time is short: Let all that we do in word, deed, and worship, be in truth from hearts of sincere love for The Lamb upon the Throne.
Fifty days after He ascended to Heaven, Christ sent His Holy Spirit to fill, empower, and guide believers through all the details of daily life, and be effective witnesses of Him to this lost generation.
We have His written word, the Holy Bible as a reference foundation, but the primary way God leads His children is directly by His Spirit.
