Christian Girlfriend Hard to Kiss
Q: What should I do with a Christian girlfriend who refuses to kiss me?
Love Thy Neighbour
A: Simple; cease trying to kiss her: Respect, honour, and love her as you would your sister, and yourself.
Doing so presents no problem for a believer, it’s basic Christian discipleship and self-discipline.
There will be many valid and godly reasons why she does not wish to kiss you.
Give it some prayerful thought, listen to the Holy Ghost, and examine your own heart.
Christians Kissing in the Bible
Your question implies that she ought to allow you a kiss to show mutual love and affection.
Perhaps you’ve also read in the Bible that God instructs believers to Greet one another with a Holy Kiss, so you take offence, feeling aggrieved that she appears to be disobeying her LORD and resisting you.
Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.
Righteous Jealousy
If so, when you seek the LORD directly, He will quickly show you the source of your personal discomfort, and thereby spare you public embarrassment.
Take to heart the Gospel fact that the LORD is a jealous God, indeed His Name is Jealous (See Ex. 34:14-16 KJV).
There is godly righteous jealousy (Zech. 8:2 KJV), just as there’s righteous anger (Num. 11:1,10; 12:9 KJV), and righteous covetousness (1 Co. 12:31 KJV).
Father jealously guards His children, the Body of Christ on Earth, 2 Co. 11:2 KJV;
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Divine Intimacy
Therefore, He wants believers to experience godly intimacy with Him, before they are able to experience it with the person God has chosen for them. It is a prerequisite that they are in living relationship with Him.
As the Holy Ghost summarised for us all in Psalm 2:11-12 KJV;
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Read Lk. 7:36-50 KJV in the Holy Ghost and you’ll discover a perfect kissing example.
The Bible also makes it clear that sexual intimacy must only be within a God-honouring marriage. (See Heb. 13:4 KJV)
