God’s Biography of The Prophet Moses
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
Heb. 11:24-26 KJV
God declared of His Only Begotten Son in Mtt. 17:5b KJV;
This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
That’s God’s commendation of His perfectly obedient Child.
No hyperbole or gushing praise, just three vital facts of life, and a solemn command.
Meditate on them, and you will find they destroy all religion, all doubt, and all discussion.
Much like John 14:6 KJV does, where Jesus says;
I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
In Hebrews 11 we have God’s testimony of Moses’ attitude and mindset.
The Holy Spirit instructs us in Phil. 4:8 to think about whatever is noble, excellent, and admirable. This is exactly the sort of inspiration He meant.
Contemplate Moses’ righteous choices and the Holy Ghost will inspire the same resolve in you today, and you’ll receive the commendation of the Almighty.
In the Lap of the Gods
Young Moses was nursed on the lap of a Princess in the household of the richest family on Earth.
He was raised in the midst of splendour and riches we can barely imagine.
His adopted relatives were treated as gods, and he was their special child.
The youth was educated by some of the greatest human minds of his time. Ac. 7:22.
He was feted, secure, and destined for greatness in the vast Egyptian Empire.
Same-Same: But Different
However, Moses was an enigma, he had an identity problem.
He was reminded of it each time he glanced at a looking-glass, and there were plenty of mirrors in his palace.
They treated him as an Egyptian; one of their own, he spoke the same language, wore the same garments, but his profile belied it.
My nose is different, skin’s paler, and my hair is curly. And something inside tells me I just don’t belong here!
Moses grew up with such thoughts, he must’ve brooded on them for years, until finally he pressed his adopted Mother to tell him the truth, no doubt tipped off beforehand by his harassed matron.
Oy Vey I’m Jewish Already!
When the light dawned in his understanding, he fell into even greater turmoil.
Here he was, a Hebrew of Hebrews, living the “life of Riley” in Pharaoh’s palace, while his own flesh and blood were shackled in slave-labour, building; idols, follies, and pyramids for the fat, rich, and happy to worship and gawp at.
Something in his heart rose to the surface, and he made the greatest decision of his life.
Lose your life: And find LIFE
Believers also live in the Palace of the Most High, with blessings showered upon us, adopted and adored by Royalty.
But, outside our own flesh and blood are in slavery to sin, building idols, in bondage to demons.
We have the authority, the power, and the message, that will set them free in Jesus’ Name.
Study what God says are the keys to his success (in Heb. 11:24-26), and make the same choices Moses made, and you too will have the LORD boasting about you.

Heb. 11:24-26 KJV
The reproach of Christ, (harsh treatment and disgrace for the sake of Jesus) is of infinite worth compared to what the world offers you.
Look at the Big Picture, read the End of The Book, and fix your eyes on Jesus.
The compensation of His reward will make your earthly trials, for His Name’s sake, seem insignificant.
He is your reward
Be sure to follow God’s Plan for your life, because His Plan is always better than our own, just ask Moses when you see him.
