The Reason You Are Sick
The first question sincere born again believers ought to ask when they discover symptoms of illness is, Why am I sick?
Many times you will know the answer instantly, for example; too vigorous exercise.
Overextending your physical ability will inevitably cause painful symptoms, aches, strains, bruises, meniscal tears, and so on.
This is particularly common in believers addicted to physical fitness, and goal-setters.
Or perhaps you neglected to wear proper clothing, and caught a chill, allowing you to begin with flu-like symptoms.
The cure for both cases is common-sense
Believers live in Christ Jesus amidst this fallen world, and if we step outside of His leading and will, we put ourselves at risk of disease, and sickness.
Whose fault is that?
Only by walking in the light are we guaranteed Father’s protection. 1 Jn. 1:6-7 KJV;
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
When a person is cleansed of all sin, Satan has no foundation upon which to establish disease.
You can only walk in the light by following the LORD’s leading in your heart.
Do you follow The Word of The LORD, or your own mind?
His Spirit lives in your spirit: Not in your head
Follow your head, and you’ll slip into a ditch; you’ll call for help, and pull others down too.
That is how the “counselling” fad got a hold in fellowships.
The blind leading the blind.
Who counsels the counsellors?
Wake up, flee all self-deception!
The Comforter is Your Counsellor
Listen to The Counsellor directly, do as you are told, and you’ll need no other.
Christ taught in John 16, He was sending The Comforter, the Holy Ghost, to lead us into all truth, and remind us of His teaching.
Who Are You Really Following?
Follow the Holy Ghost’s leading in your heart, and He will be your strength, vigour, and life.
You will be kept well, hearty, and will heal others.
Take Responsibility for Your Own Health
It’s up to you who, and what, you follow.
Each of us is totally accountable for our choices, aren’t we?
We follow Christ from love, never under compulsion.
If God’s love is not your life motive, be certain, you’ll fall ill.
Once you’re determined to walk in divine health, you’ll commit to walk your whole life in divine love.
Decide
Do that right now, or pack up and go back to the world: It will welcome you with open arms, and you will be very happy with your decision, perhaps almost until tea-time.
Now, make a self-check; you’ve examined your heart, employed common-sense, but still find you are developing signs of sickness; a lump, a pain, breathlessness, dizzy spells, insomnia, a skin rash, alimentary, or renal dysfunctions.
What do you do?
Visit a medic, and ask for a diagnosis?
That’s what the world does.
What should Christians do?
Perhaps, ask Father God what the problem is?
No, the first person to ask is yourself; “Why am I sick?”
Mostly you will know immediately.
Especially, if you have sinned carelessly, or willfully.
Your Integrity
Practically 100 percent of the time the trouble is at your end, so therefore you have the power to fix it.
Absorb the point of this article, and it will enable you to enjoy a deeper level of intimacy with your Lord.
But first you’ve must be totally committed to integrity with The Living Word.
If that’s not your heart’s desire, then stop reading now.
The Lord wants disciples, followers: Not compromisers and phonies.
For those willing to ask themselves the reason for their symptoms of disease, the answer is always the same; Unbelief of some shade.
That’s true for me, for you, your pastor, evangelist, everyone.
Unbelief may manifest in countless forms, and illnesses; cancer for example is frequently due to unforgiveness.
The person has not forgiven somebody a wrong, they harbour resentment, and fail to display the same mercy and forgiveness God has already shown them.
That’s unbelief right there; they walk in darkness, leaving themselves wide open for Satan to install cancer inside God’s temple: Your Blood-bought body.
It’s no use pleading, Father, why has this happened to me?
He had nothing to do with it, it was entirely your choice to doubt, or ignore and rebel against His word, you let sin rule inside God’s child.
Face up to it, that is what it boils down to.
Quit blaming God for allowing this to happen to me: That’s just plain ignorance of the New Covenant you agreed to.
You allowed it to happen, and God permitted you to do so, because you are responsible for everything you do, say, believe, and think: Aren’t you?
Not until you’ve accepted that Gospel truth, will you be ready for any good news.
Many Christians die prematurely because they ignore and refuse to believe the truth: What about you?
