    Whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father

    In the Secret Place of God we discovered where God wants us to live and enjoy eternal life.

    The world knows nothing about it, but every born again believer is placed there, encouraged to remain, and enjoy the blessings of asking for whatever we wish in Jesus’ Name. Jn. 15:7 KJV;

    If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

    Christ meant what He said; what ye will, means; whatever you want, whatever you wish.

    Three times He Promised

    Jesus repeats the promise to give whatever disciples ask for in Jn. 15:16 KJV;

    Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

    And again in the same discourse, Jn. 16:23-24 KJV;

    Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

    Three times Jesus unequivocally promises believers whatever they wish.

    Why Shopping List Prayers Are Useless

    New believers read this, excitedly ask for something in prayer, but don’t get what they believe for.

    The freckles stayed put, the Ferrari didn’t appear, enemies didn’t die, and they still can’t decide who to marry.

    Something went wrong, but it wasn’t God, or His word: The believer misunderstood and the conditions were not met.

    My Words Abide

    Notice the promise is qualified by two simple preconditions Jn. 15:7;

    If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

    1) Abide in Christ.

    2) His word abides in the believer.

    Abiding in Christ means they are born of God; Jesus is their Lord and Saviour, His Spirit abides in their heart because they have saving faith in Him. They are sealed by the Spirit of God, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

    God does that because of heart-faith in Christ; He puts the believer there and He keeps him there.

    Doing the Revealed Things: Fulfilling His Word

    The second clause, is where believers miss it; and my words abide in you. This doesn’t mean mental assent to Jesus’ teachings, believing the Holy Bible is the written word of God, or memorising scripture.

    All real Christians embrace that much.

    It refers to the believer fulfilling the word that the Spirit of God has spoken and revealed to them, rhema’d to them at that time, walking in the Truth of that word, thereby manifesting His word in their flesh.

    When you grasp this revelation, you perceive it means intimate continual fellowship between Christ and the disciple: Not simply knowing the Bible is God’s word, and Jesus as Saviour.

    Your Desires are His Desires

    As you meet these two conditions, you will only request what the Holy Spirit has unselfishly put in your heart, which is always God’s will, always in line with His word, and so you get it every time, Halleluia!

    The bonus is your joy is complete, by experiencing God working through you, and you glorify Him.

    If you want to be full of the joy Jesus walked in, abide in Him, and let His rhema’d words abide in you. Jn. 15:7-12 KJV;

    If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

    As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

    If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

    These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

    This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

    England’s greatest preacher operated all the Gifts of the Spirit as he preached and ministered. Few preachers have approached the level of anointing Smith attained. He knew his business, and His business was God’s Business. Let him unfold to you the working of the Gifts of the Spirit. Smith Wigglesworth On Spiritual Gifts.
