Who Are You?

Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

I and my Father are one.

Quit Doubting and Believe!

The religious Jews knew the works Christ had been doing, that’s why they cornered Him angrily, He was an affront to their religion: Judaism.

Notice how they lay blame on Christ for their unbelief, How long dost thou make us to doubt?

Contemplate how offensive that is to the One who was soon to pour out His sinless Blood for those false accusers.

Don’t ever hold Father God responsibile for your sin: It’s a common fatal error.

Why Did You Make Me Like This?

A Christian woman in a wheel-chair wept angrily during a Spirit-filled meeting I attended in the UK. It was the same meeting in which He confirmed His call to me to become a missionary in Asia.

Satan had struck this dear lady with Multiple Sclerosis, and she couldn’t understand why God hadn’t yet healed her.

Her frustration boiled over when the worship leader called on us to stand as we worshipped, she was unable to use her legs, so burst out loudly with self-pitying railing against Father God. It was embarrassing for all, but the worship leader tactfully covered for her, saying she was a “…strong Christian,…and we just don’t understand why God hasn’t healed her.”

But We Do, Don’t We?

In addition to unbelief in her heart that she was healed, and her failure to stand fast on God’s written word declaring her healing, she compounded her sin of unbelief by blaming our heavenly Father, just like these Jews accused Christ.

Truth Heals and Divides

Bespoke Religions of all Flavours wobble when confronted with Truth: Especially truth backed by divine proof.

But secular Israel was delighted by the news of miracle healings at the hands of a Carpenter’s son: Blind eyes opened, mute tongues loosed, deaf ears hearing, paralytics and lepers made whole, chronic diseases cured, the dead raised, and even a tempest halted with a word from The LORD Jesus Christ: Almighty God manifested in human Flesh.

The Real Thing

He’s no charlatan or concocted artificial intelligence (AI) avatar, the evidence was plain and irrefutable: The works He did in Father’s Name.

But they refused to believe their own eyes, ears, or testimonies of people He’d healed.

Stubborn sceptics are still the same.

And so are believers, when God confirms His words today with miracles, signs and wonders, there’s ringing endorsement in receptive hearts that this is The Truth at work: Our Creator God.

Deny that, and you’ll become as thick as those malevolent doubters, busy defending their personally tailored religion against The Eternal Truth demonstrated in front of them.

Gentiles can be just as spiritually dense. I certainly was until Father mercifully opened my eyes at the age of 34 years.

He dealt with me as mercifully as with that religious crowd. He didn’t yell in my face,
“Colin, wake up, I’m The Christ!”

Instead He tenderly drew me by His Spirit, graciously opened my spiritual eyes and ears, and validated the truth of His words by signs and wonders I could not deny.

(You can read about them here. Incidentally, it was months after I was saved that I witnessed my first healing miracle, but these signs were even more convincing. Signs point to something, and supernatural wonders get your attention and make you think deeply.)

The Greatest Decision I’ll Ever Make

Then He let me decide what to do with the evidence.

I was saved the instant I said “Yes LORD!”

Religion won’t give you this experience: It must be a personal encounter with the Living Christ.

Seek and Ye Will Find

Your Creator knows how to reach you, better than you know yourself.

Simply begin calling on Him to show you the Truth, and let Him convince you with signs and wonders that He chooses.

Don’t tell Him how: That’s not legitimate seeking: That’s bossing The LORD about, and sure to result in failure.

Don’t ‘put out a fleece’ because Satan will certainly fleece you.

Come to Him humbly like a child, and read the Gospel of John in a Genuine Holy Bible KJV with real desire to know the truth.

Why John’s Gospel?

Because it has many one-to-one encounters with Christ, and you’ll hear Him speak to you through His written words.

What you do then, He leaves up to you.

My advice is to say; “Yes, LORD!”
