If ye shall ask
Obedient believers live in the blessing promised by Christ, John 14:12-14 KJV;
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Christ was talking about the result of obedience here on Earth.
Along with this prospect, He also warns,
Jn. 15:18-20 KJV;
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
Godly believers are not surprised when unbelievers hate and persecute them.
Dare to be like God
If you want the world to love you become; an Atheist, Buddhist, New Ager, or a nominal Christian.
Any fig-leaf religion will do to stay on board HMS Worldview.
But if you dare to be a Christian, a genuine born again believer in Christ, then lookout, you’ll be keel-hauled, and fed to the fishes in short-order.
You will rock the boat, and so overboard you go.
Settle it Now
Realise this, and be willing to pay the cost of standing up for God’s; Truth, Love and Justice, wherever Jesus puts you.
Compromise, and you’ll lose His fellowship and peace, be convicted of sin, and miss the high mark of your calling.
Is that what you want?
When you reach the Glory, trusting only in the power of the sinless Blood of Christ, will you wish you’d done more in your brief pilgrimage; eternally regretting opportunities to follow Him, and sorry that you fudged it?
Determine now, to live the rest of your life on Earth whole-hearted for Christ.
How to Bless The LORD
Here’s a practical tip;
Trouble’s brewing, the enemy is at the door, you’re in a fix through no fault of your own.
Instead of fear, panic, or grumbling; choose to think like He wants you to by contemplating;
- How can I use this opportunity to thrill Father’s heart, and make Him proud of me?
- What can I do in this situation to show Father His investment in me was worth the Price He paid?
Soon the Holy Ghost will inspire ideas, suggestions, and instructions, they will arise in your spirit, and bubble up to your mind.
You’ll will know what to do.
Then obey God’s leading whatever the cost, and He will put you on the winning side.
