And Overcome Every Anxiety
Q: How am I supposed to stop worrying and having anxious thoughts when my life is in ruins?
A: First you must be born again, and become a Christian, get filled with the Holy Ghost, and pray in tongues as you follow The LORD Jesus Christ.
If you are not yet a Christian, here’s how to become saved.
Once you have received Christ as LORD, and your Saviour, receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Ideally, receive both on the same occasion, like the wholehearted, eager listeners at Cornelius’ house in Acts 10:44-48 KJV;
While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
The Power Baptism
The Holy Ghost has been poured out for believers ever since Acts Chapter 2, He’s to be your Comforter, your Helper, one who draws alongside, and gives you the right thing to say and do, in order to glorify Almighty God.
The first disciples had to physically locate Christ to hear Him teach them.
But since His Resurrection He’s sealed a far better method of empowering believers to follow Him: The Baptism in the Holy Spirit: Christ in you, His Holy Spirit filling you.
Get filled and discover the difference, and you’ll not look back.
Praying in The Holy Ghost
If you have been Spirit-filled already, with the Bible evidence of tongues, then use them as a daily habit, and build up your inner-man, as the Bible instructs under the New Covenant in Christ’s Precious Blood, Jude 20-21 KJV;
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
The more you pray in unknown tongues, the more Christ-like you become, wiser, more faithful, and more effective as His witness.
A fretting, worrying Christian is a poor witness of Almighty God, you’ll agree?
Believers With Evidence
Whereas a believer enduring a trial confident in Christ, and continually rejoicing in His victory is a terrifically powerful witness.
You’re not going to sail through life calmly, never having any trouble, always knowing in advance what to do.
That isn’t God’s plan for any believer’s life.
Christ is our example of long-suffering, and Paul endured great trials of his faith after becoming saved.
Did the apostle John et.al., have lives of ease following their Lord?
Read John Foxe’s 1583 Martyrs to find out what happened to the first disciples.
Father permits our faith to be tried by trials, to prove it’s real, and make it mighty.
No Battles, No Heroes, No Medals: No Glory, No Rewards
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1 Pe. 1:6-7 KJV
Worrying and Fretting Are Sin
Recognize that anxiety and fretfulness are simply manifestations of unbelief.
Repent of all sin, quit worrying, and fretting.
Eyes Fixed on The Living Word of God
Keep your spiritual attention on Christ, on His words, the written word, the Holy Ghost rhema words, and pray in the Spirit alway.
Ask Father to help you comprehend this, and gain more self-control, He’ll be delighted to give you wisdom and understanding. James 1:5-8 KJV;
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Ask, and receive from Him, then do as His words say.
Prayer That Works
Many Christians only pray in their normal language, asking over and over, reciting a prayer list of the same requests.
A waste of breath and time: Think how that exasperates Father.
It’s unbiblical, so quit it, and pray the Holy Bible way, not your own way.
Rote prayers are Mere religious ritual.
Father teaches us to pray effectively, 1 Cor. 14:14-15, Eph. 6:18 KJV;
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Pray like that, in spirit and truth, and the Holy Ghost will put you over every obstacle you face, as you persevere, believing that Father has heard and answered you.
Start now, and discover the power of praying God’s way instead of man’s way.
Tip:
Praying always means always, not once a week, or a few minutes in the morning, God said Praying always.
Really? How can you pray at work, at school, or during a business meeting?
Easily. Pray in tongues quietly in your heart, then you don’t appear to be bonkers, you’ll find your mind is not actually doing the praying: It’s your spirit, praying by the Holy Spirit, to Father God in tongues, and for your precise needs, or about a particular situation.
For example, I know a teenage hair dresser in a Spirit-filled fellowship in Northumberland. She reminds me of the waiter Stephen in Acts 6:8 KJV;
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
Hairdressing’s the perfect job for her; a congregation of one, held captive in a chair, whom she has to talk to.
She chats in Northumbrian English, “Waay aye pet!” whilst all the time praying in her heart in tongues.
The Holy Ghost works on the customer as she perms her hair.
She’s effective, and bold in leading many young Geordies to Christ.
Father delights to give precious tips to His daughter.
Another Tip:
If you’re struggling with a besetting sin; an addiction, or compulsion, of some kind, stop trying to overcome using your flesh; your mind, and will.
Instead, pray quietly in tongues in your heart as the temptation arises. You’ll find the Holy Ghost knows all about your trial of faith, and will pray through you, on your behalf, to help you resist the temptation.
You can do this wherever, you are. I recall an Iranian former heroin addict on the kerbside as he waited for a bus to arrive, in a city where heroin is smoked by street-junkies.
I knew him, and his method of overcoming: It was glorious to see him raise his hands, close his eyes and pray softly in tongues right there on the street. That put him over. Isaiah 59:19, 1 Cor. 10:13 KJV;
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
What do you think the Holy Ghost is praying through that former junkie in those tongues?
He’s reminding Father of these scriptures, and Father promptly makes a way of escape for the believer.
He’ll do the same for you too, as you pray in the Spirit always.
