The Holy Bible Way To Be a Christian
Q: I’m reading the Bible, and though I’d like to be a Christian, something is holding me back from believing in Jesus. How can I get rid of all doubt, and believe in Christ?
A: In order to be saved, the Bible way, God requires sinners to repent from unbelief in the LORD Jesus Christ.
Specifically; that He is Almighty God in the Flesh, that He died a sinner’s death as your personal substitute, and rose from the dead.
Revelation: Not Religion
This belief must be of the heart, the spirit, not merely the mind, and must be spoken (confessed). Rom. 10:9-11 KJV;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
In order to have real heart belief in Christ the sinner must have been drawn to Christ, by God the Father, through the operation of the Holy Ghost, Jn. 6:44 KJV;
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
This means it is not possible for a person to be saved without the direct revelation of the Person and resurrection of Christ to their heart, by God the Father, through the Holy Ghost.
One to One
This precious personal revelation is what Jesus spoke of in Mtt. 16:15-17 KJV;
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar–jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
There simply has to be the direct personal heart-revelation to get divine blessing.
Without this revelation from God the sinner does not have the Bible basis to be saved.
That is why Satan attempts to replace this experience with religion, and many people who call themselves “Christian”, on the basis of religious church-going and head-faith, do not have heart-revelation of Christ.
He doesn’t know them, and they do not know the Living Christ. The are just like the Five Foolish Virgins Christ spoke of in Matthew chapter 25 in the Holy Bible.
Flesh and blood (people) do their utmost to reveal this Gospel fact to sinners, but it alone is never sufficient.
Sinners may repent in their minds, and try to believe on Christ in their heads, but always fall flat because they lack the divine revelation to their heart, that; Jesus is God, died for them, and rose again.
No More Struggling to Believe
When you’ve got this revelation, you know without doubt that God is calling you to repent and believe in Christ, and so believing becomes the easiest, most straight-forward thing to do.
Without question, you know the Truth, because you’ve got God’s revelation in your heart, the core of your being.
Once you believe in Christ in your heart, the next step is to confess Him as LORD, and put your belief into action, by doing what He says.
Therefore, the key to believing in Jesus, is this divine revelation given by God to the sinner.
If the sinner responds positively to the revelation, and interacts with God at their heart level, truly repenting from unbelief, the Lord knows and comes into them because He sees they are genuine, and sincere.
The War is Over: Peace Reigns
They are born again, and receive the result of heart-believing: Redemption, peace, eternal life, healing, and complete confidence in The LORD Jesus Christ.
This is the greatest experience a sinner can have on Earth.

Nobody Fools God
Some people get the revelation, but they are habitually changeable, and insincere. Such people find repenting from unbelief difficult because they have developed the habit of self-deception and untruthfulness with others.
God demands total honesty and integrity in your walk with Him.
If you are not completely honest with God, forget about ever being saved from Hell.
He isn’t fooled by anyone.
Almighty God, Draw Me to Jesus
You can be sure that you will be drawn to Christ by the Holy Ghost because it is written that God desires all men to be saved and know the Truth; 1 Tim. 2:4 KJV;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Sinners are drawn to Christ (God’s Living Truth) in response to;
- The believing prayers of Christians
- Preaching the Gospel by anointed evangelists
- And through reading the Gospel with an open and sincere heart
Sinners themselves may also ask the LORD to open their spiritual eyes as they read the Gospel of John in the KJV.
Start off Right: Get a KJV Holy Bible Begin with the Gospel of John. Study the word of God daily to find out what Christ has done for you, and what He wants you to do for Him.
