Understanding tongues
Q: Can Satan understand what we are saying when speaking in tongues, or is the understanding strictly for God, and does Scripture substantiate this either way?
A: Neither Satan, nor demons, can understand when a person prays, or speaks, in genuine tongues. Tongues are the languages of angels, not demons, who are fallen angels. They forfeited their right to be in God’s Presence, and to know His mysteries. 1 Co. 13:1, Lk. 10:18, Rev. 12:7-9.
In addition, 1 Co. 14:2 tells us tongues are unknown languages that God gives the believer, who utters mysteries by the spirit. If Satan understood, they wouldn’t be mysteries. That is why nobody understands unless, and until, God gives the interpretation. Ro. 8:26-27 also confirms this, because Satan does not know the mind of the Spirit, or the thoughts of God. 1 Co. 2:8-11.
Isn’t this a wonderful position; Heaven’s secret language to communicate directly with Father. What a tragedy to neglect it.
Lost faith in Christianity
Q: A few years ago I lost my faith in Christianity, but now I’ve regained it. I was baptised before I lost my faith, so do I have to get baptised again now that I’ve regained my faith? Philip from Sweden
A: Philip, I don’t think you were saved before, so make sure you are genuinely saved now, and then get baptised the Bible way.
Look at what you wrote; your faith was, and is today, “in Christianity”. A position built on sand. Nobody can ever be saved by “having faith in Christianity”.
It means you believe in a religion, a mere form, like Lutheranism, Catholicism, or Anglicanism, etc. All religion is useless to save.
God’s word tells us that to be saved we must have faith in The LORD Jesus Christ.
There’s a huge difference between that, and trusting in your religion, church, doctrine or creed.
Trust in Him, receive the Living Word of God, and then you will be saved the Bible way. You will be established on The Rock of Salvation, not the sands of religion.
Can Christians re-marry?
Q: I want to know if re-marriage is allowed as a Christian after divorce? Tumelo from Botswana
A: It would be best to simply point you to Kenneth Hagin’s book on the topic of Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage
Christian jargon
Q: What is ‘sharing’?
A: It’s similar to testifying, or giving testimony. In Christian jargon, “sharing” simply means telling others what wonderful things Jesus is doing in your life, usually impromptu in a formal setting, such as a service or Bible study. Such times are often more anointed than a sermon, because the believer is speaking from their heart, about a living walk with Christ.
The best, of course, are those that come from somebody just saved and healed by a miracle. Sometimes they cannot even speak, they just stand there, overwhelmed, weeping, smiling, and shining with the Glory of the LORD.
Look at the pictures and films of people healed in Dr. T.L., Daisy, and LaDonna Osborn’s evangelistic crusades in Africa, Asia, Central and South America: The pure Heaven-sent joy is unmistakable!
