Living in The Presence of God
What are you living for, what is the purpose of your life?
The happiest people on Earth are those who know why God created them, and are busy fulfilling His purpose for their lives.
To be in the centre of God’s Will is to have His peace at all times no matter what turmoil and strife confronts you.
God’s Hand is upon you because you rest in the Secret Place. Ps. 91:1 KJV;
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
How to Get There
Where is the secret place of the Most High God?
In Christ Jesus. Col. 3:3 KJV
For ye are dead, and your life is now hid with Christ in God.
Hid with Christ in God!
The instant you believed and received the Living Christ you were baptised into His Body by His Spirit. You used to be dead in your sins. Eph. 2:4-6 KJV;
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
This is the born again baptism into Christ, which we later symbolise by water baptism, as a witness to the world of what God has done for us.
Raised up In Christ
He’s lifted us into the secret place of the Most High.
We dwell there under the covering of Almighty God.
His Presence is in us, and upon us, we have been redeemed through the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
Abide in Me
Recall Christ’s Last Supper with His disciples, He spoke about abiding, or remaining, in Him. Jn. 15:7 KJV:
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
They were not yet born again. He was preserving them with a special anointing to “tide them over” until His Blood was shed, and offered in the Holy of Holies of Heaven.
Since then, every Christian dwells in Christ, and He in them. It is the once in a lifetime born again experience. The only way to begin living in Christ is to be born of God.
My Words Abide in You
This precious position demands an obligation. Putting us in Christ is God’s part: Ours is to abide in His leading and walk in His love. We are to attend to His words and obey them. To love Him is to obey Him. As we do, Jesus promised He’d give us whatever we ask for.
The abiding words He spoke of are His commands and teachings which the Holy Spirit, in our spirit, reminds us of all the time. God puts His “Living Talking Bible” into the heart of every Christian.
We listen to our hearts, and do what God leads us to do. Gal. 5:16,25 KJV;
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh… If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Some Christians ignore God’s leading in their hearts and soon fall into a ditch because of their rebellion and disobedience.
God leads you in constant victory by His Spirit in your heart, and as you remain in step with His Spirit you will abide under the shadow of the Almighty, and all the blessings of God’s Secret Place in Psalm 91 are yours.
