    Read Part 1: Infertile Christians

    Dead Womb: Empty Tomb

The miraculous birth of a son to Abram and Sarai is directly relevant to each Christian alive today, yet its significance eludes most, so they walk in their own strength instead of permitting God to work in their lives.

Learn the lesson, so you break free of such spiritual blindness.

This blessed couple had been given the divine promise that all nations would be blessed through them. (Gen. 12:1-3 KJV)

Despite being a childless seventy-five year-old at the time, Abram believed God’s word wholeheartedly, and trusted Him to fulfil His promise to them.

However, a decade later, they remained childless and well beyond childbearing age.

In desperation, they devised a plan to help God keep His promise..

Aged 85, Abram impregnated their Egyptian servant girl, Hagar, who gave birth to a baby boy, Ishmael.

They knew this was wrong, but still went ahead, hoping God would bless their efforts, because after all, He had promised them offspring, hadn’t He?

From our perspective we shake our heads at such folly; but do a heart-check, and you may discover you have also fallen into the same snare.

I certainly have, and praise God for His patience and mercy whenever I tried to get God’s word to work my way.

Learn to Avoid the Same Error

The inevitable strife between Sarai and Hagar finally prompted Abram to send Hagar, and his only begotten son, away into the wilderness.

That is how the Semitic Arab tribes originated, and sadly the friction between fellow Semites remains daily news, as a reminder to us of Abram’s blunder.

God graciously forgave repentant Abram and Sarai for their folly, and when he was aged ninety-nine, confirmed His word of  promise with the circumcision blood covenant. (Gen. Ch.17)

    New Creation Realities

The LORD renamed them Abraham and Sarah, as another prophetic hint to us of the New Creation in Christ. (Are you a new creature in Christ, or the same old sinner?)

    Then God Did the Impossible

Sarah’s dead womb was brought to life, Abraham’s seed united with hers, and Issac was born exactly as God had promised them decades earlier.

    Halleluia!

The lesson for Christians is; to stop trying to fulfil God’s word in our lives by walking in the flesh: Instead we are to follow His rhema word to our heart, and His written word: Those Two Witnesses always confirm each other.

Then trust Him to fulfil His promises to you.

Father loves it when we rely entirely upon Him, His Word, and His Spirit, and deny our flesh.

    Then you will discover the truth of Luke 18:27 KJV;

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

    How to Reproduce Yourself

Many Christians today have not borne fruit simply because they ignore this lesson and struggle along in their flesh.

    Don’t do that!

It is pride, rebellion, and sin all rolled up into one.

God only works through heart faith in His Promises.

Head Faith is what led Abram to sire Ishmael with Hagar.

Heart faith in God’s Gracious Promise produced Isaac, and the fulfilment of God’s blessing that you are witnessing today.

    Walk on Living Water

Every nation is still being blessed through Abraham, as we venture proclaiming The LORD Jesus Christ, whom God brought forth in due course through Abraham and Sarah’s line.

Flesh fails every time: Heart faith in The LORD Jesus Christ always produces what His Word declares.

    Only Believe!
