And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

From Spiritual Death
It is a trap for Christians to continue fulfilling the desires of the mind after they receive Christ as Saviour: Christians are not led by our mind, we are led by our spirit, which needs to remain in step, and overflowing with, the fullness of the Holy Spirit within.
A believer who follows his, or her, own mind and thoughts is doomed to stumble and fail: Only those who learn to discern and honour the Holy Spirit in their heart can fulfil the purpose for which they were created, and saved.
When we were in our sins we too followed the desires of the flesh and mind, suffering the inevitable consequences of that selfish lifestyle, along with the world: Walking in spiritual death-valley, separated from our merciful benevolent Creator, wide open to, and mauled by; demons, sickness, calamity, and Satan.
To Eternal Life
Halleluia! What a difference the moment we repented and believed on Christ as LORD and Saviour: His eternal Life came into our heart, bringing; peace like a river, joy unspeakable, with Heaven’s Glory inside, 1 Pe. 1:8-9 KJV;
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
This is a position of eternal victory over; the world, death, demons, disease, and all the works of the Devil, and it was won by the faith of Christ: He did it all for us.
Real Love is Unselfish
He conquered sin, and Satan for you and me: Not for Himself.
Almighty God did not need to defeat the Devil, He has always had dominion over the Evil One.
It was mankind, you and me, who needed deliverance from the domination of sin and self-destruction.
The Only Perfect Man
In order to satisfy the claims of divine Justice, Almighty God became a man, born of a virgin by a miracle, susceptible to temptation just as sinners are, and lived the perfect life on Earth, walking in harmony with Father God, doing good and speaking His words, without once yielding to sin.
Took Your Condemnation
Finally, The Sinless One took the; sin, guilt, sickness, and consequences of mankind’s rebellion upon Himself, and laid down His perfect eternal life to settle our debt to Father God once and for all.
Was Raised Immortal
To prove the price of your redemption is paid, and because Christ had no sin of His own, Father raised His Only Begotten Son from the depths of Hell on the third day: The Resurrected Christ.
Do you know Him?
You can meet Him today by doing two simple things.
Only then will you be set free from the compulsions of the flesh, and the folly of following your own mind, so that you can renew your mind, and walk as Jesus did, honouring and loving your Creator.
No longer following your own thoughts and desires, but surrendering to the gentle leading of Father’s Spirit in your spirit.
It is Heaven on Earth.
