The Day God Died

Satan rejoiced, demons did cartwheels, his plan had succeeded Christ the Saviour was now Christ the Corpse. You can see why he named it Good Friday can’t you?

    Why ‘Good’ Friday?

You’ve probably noticed that humanity is rebellious, and utterly corrupt. You see it everyday in the news, your workplace, and even in your homes. But one of the clearest illustrations of mankind’s depravity, is what it calls one particular day.

Throughout eternity saints and angels will worship the Lord for what He did one Friday in Jerusalem, two thousand years ago.

It was the day God died.

When Immortality surrendered to mortality, the Infinite became as nothing, and the Righteous One became sin. Without question, it’s the most painful day Heaven, ever has or ever will endure. Remembrance of it still cuts through the three hearts who paid the ultimate price.

It is the blackest blot on the awful record of human history. One that will never be erased. Yet religious, sin-sick people call this day, ‘Good Friday’.

They no doubt have some pious explanation for such a crass misnomer, I’m not interested. The day is not ‘Good’ Friday.

It is the day God chose to die.

    For you, and for me.

Satan was jubilant at the sight of a stone cold Jesus in a death-chilled tomb. Demons pressed for a glimpse of Christ the Saviour clasped in death’s bondage, now Christ the Corpse.

In life, they couldn’t get near Him, His presence made them flee. But now, His anointing gone, they riddled His body with every conceivable disease and infirmity.

Lucifer’s heart swelled with pride, his plan had succeeded. He had in his hands humanity’s Only Hope, the dead Messiah.

The day God chose to die

Cults deny it, liberal theologians debate it, sinners scoff at it, but make no mistake, God’s word is crystal clear, Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty (YHWH, pron. “Yay-Ho-Vah” or “Jehovah” in English), and He died a sinner’s death.

If you don’t believe that Jesus is God, you’ll die in your sins. See Holy Bible Jn. 8:24

You may be a church-goer and profess to believe, but if you have not had this precious revelation in your heart, then you are still unsaved and Hell-bound.

It is the only way into the kingdom of God, and is imparted by the Father to those who genuinely repent and trust in Christ as Saviour. See 1 Co. 12:3 and Mtt. 16:16

If you’re not sure, don’t be alarmed you can be certain that you are saved right now. Make Sure You Are Saved

Jesus Christ is God in the Flesh

John 1:1-14 KJV declares; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.

    And… The Immortal Dies

    Christ died Ro. 5:6
    Christ died Ro. 5:8
    Christ died Rom. 8:34
    Christ died Ro. 14:9
    Christ died Ro. 14:15
    Christ died 1 Co. 8:11
    Christ died 1 Co. 15:3

On that ‘Good’ Friday in Jerusalem, God died.

    Why?

Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.

    1 Pe. 3:18 KJV
