Q: I’m hearing that Jesus quoted from a Greek Old Testament, and the First Twelve Disciples used the Greek Septuagint too. What do you make of that, and does it matter to us today?

A: This is utter nonsense propagated, by the Roman Catholic cult, in order to seduce the unwary to accept the Apocrypha and Latin Vulgate Bible as the written word of God.
No, The LORD Jesus Christ never read from the so called “Septuagint”, or quoted, any Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures.
The very thought of Him doing so would have been laughable to any devout Jew of His time, and easy grounds upon which to accuse Him of blasphemy.
God Has Preserved His Written Word
Jews in Israel in Bible days used only the Hebrew scriptures in their synagogues, and in private: Their Scripture was regarded as sacred.
Everyone understood Bible Hebrew, not only the Levite scribes who, down the centuries, had diligently transcribed the written word of God: The Masoretic text.
Recall Jesus’ words in Mtt. 5:17-18 KJV;
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
“Jot and tittle” is a Hebraism, a Hebrew idiom, referring to written Hebrew diacritics. Greek does not have any “jot and tittle”, so Christ could only be speaking of written Hebrew. The expression refers to the tiniest particle of written Hebrew, such as dots, accents, and other diacritics.
Christ meant that, what was written in the Hebrew Scriptures, including the tiniest nuance, would all be fulfilled perfectly.
Halleluia! It was, it is being, and it will all be fulfilled.

The Eternal Word of God
The LORD Jesus Christ is the Incarnate Word of God, who chose to first reveal Himself to the Patriarchs and their progeny, the Jews, and delivered the written word to them in Bible Hebrew, not Greek.
Roman Catholics would like you to swallow the lie that, The Living Word of God made Flesh, was happy to read, and quote, His own written word in Greek from a massively corrupted cult translation called the Septuagint (LXX).
If you are ready to accept that, you need to examine your relationship with Father God urgently.
The “Septuagint” did not even exist whilst Christ was on Earth.
What is claimed today, by half-baked scholars, as “The Septuagint” was actually concocted by Arian antiChrists three centuries after Christ was crucified, arose, and returned to Glory.
Liberal theologians spin yarns, and multiply myths, to uphold their prejudice against the Truth. Check the “evidence” yourself, and you will be appalled at their spiritual ignorance.
Avoid vain chatter as His word commands, 1 Tim. 6:20 KJV;
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
It is easy for believers to quickly verify the matter; simply check with the Holy Ghost in your heart now, ask Father His opinion of the Greek Old Testament, the Septuagint (LXX) touted today as “God’s written word in Bible Greek”.
You will find endless discussion of this topic by theologians and apologists, especially since the nineteenth century, but the real Bible believer short-circuits all discussion, by simply consulting The Author directly.
The Author Knows His Own Word
Almighty God knows precisely what He Authored, how to understand it rightly, and how to convey it perfectly to His children.
I invite you to ask Him in your prayer closet today, and get the matter settled personally, once and for all.
You will know the Truth, and He will set you free from confusion, and end all pointless discussion.
Stick with His perfect written word in English… which every child of God knows in his heart is the KJV.
And all the Saints shout…
AMEN!
Tip: Beware of any preacher or “scholar” who cites the LXX over the King James Holy Bible. It is a sure sign they have missed the narrow way. Who cares what cultists have written, we have the infallible written word of God in English, and we know it!
