    Can the Devil read your thoughts?

    Q: My sister asked me if it says in the Bible that Satan can read our thoughts. I’ve always been taught that he cannot, but I can’t find scripture to back that up. Sandy

    A: Sandy, there’s no Scripture saying that Satan can discern a Christian’s thoughts or read their mind.

    In contrast, because they have their father’s fallen nature, sinners are an open book to the Devil.

    They think, talk, and behave, just like their father Satan. Their life is satanic, bearing demonic fruit. Rom. 3:9-10, 1 Jn. 3:8-10 KJV;

    …for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

    He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

    Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

    In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

    God tells us the whole world (meaning sinners, unsaved people, not the Earth itself) are in Satan’s grip, 1 Jn. 5:19 KJV;

    And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

    Can’t Do Right for Doing Wrong

    Because Satan literally owns sinners, he knows them inside out, they are just like him, because they have his nature. Like father: Like son.

    Wickedness is their default setting.

    In The Light and Out of Reach

    But, Praise God, believers are God’s property, out of bounds to Satan, kept safe by obedience to Almighty God, 1 Jn. 5:18 KJV;

    We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

    How do we keep ourselves?

    By walking in the love of God, (Jude 1:21), in the Light, where He shields and keeps us safe.

    Has God put a Holy Ghost DO NOT TOUCH sign over you yet?

    If not, get right with your Creator now, do what He’s told you to do, and let His Spirit cover you today.

    Oh it is wonderful to walk with God’s Hand upon you; ever conscious of His covering, protecting, and anointing to serve Him in love.

    What’s got into you Doris?

    What this lady wants to know is; can Satan and demons read her mind, and know what she is thinking.

    Which immediately begs the question, “What is she thinking?”

    Our Eternal Victory

    Seriously though Sandy, preach the Gospel and lovingly take your sister through the Scriptures teaching us the basic Bible fact that Satan is eternally defeated.

    She’s either lost in her sins, and doesn’t know this, or has lost sight of the Great Victory on Calvary.

    When a sinner is saved, God instantly delivers them out of Satan’s control, makes them a saint, holy and righteous, and translates them into the kingdom of God; free to walk in the Light, forgiven, redeemed, and victorious.

    Let’s savour each word… Col. 1:12-14 KJV;

    Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

    Where Angels Fear to Tread

    Christians live and walk in the Light of Christ where Satan cannot touch them. Those who step out of the will of God make themselves vulnerable to the enemy. But the faithful are immune, triumphant, forceful, and the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against them. (Mtt. 16:18)

    Remember we bind, drive the Devil out, and set captives free wherever we go.

    Christians are not afraid of Satan, he’s afraid of believers who understand and dare to use the authority God has given them. He runs away from us. Mtt. 18:18, Jas. 4:7 KJV;

    Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

    Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    Can Satan read your thoughts?

    Not if you are walking in Christ.

    In any case, give him something good to read; renew your mind in accordance with the word of God, and let Satan see what’s on your mind. Like this;

    Thank you LORD that I’m accepted in the beloved, raised up with Christ and seated in heavenly places far above all principalities and powers. I praise you LORD that you washed away all my sin, and poured your Spirit and love into my heart, and shower me with your grace and mercy, that you have made me more than a conqueror over every evil thing.

    And for those who know the Devil cannot read your mind, shout from the roof-tops what you are thinking about. Let him hear what he’s missing, and what’s going to happen. For example;

    Thank you LORD that my name is now written in your Book of Life, that I’m assured of a place in Heaven, because of His Name; and that you’ve given me continual access to your power through faith in Christ Jesus, with authority to use His Name to heal, to deliver, and to destroy all the works of the evil one.

    Now you understand.

    We have the mind of Christ: Use it for His Glory

    Receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour so that you can walk with Him in peace and safety.
