Why are people afraid of dying?
Because after death comes Judgment. All men instinctively know this to be the case, that is why natural man fears death.
He knows he is a sinner, and that Almighty God will demand an account of his life after he dies.
When sinful man faces his righteous Creator there’s no room for sham, bribery, bluffing, or deceit.
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Heb. 4:13 Holy Bible, KJV
Men prefer to deny, forget, or cover up their sins, but everything will be revealed at their judgment.
People complain when a wicked man dies without facing a human court. They say he has escaped justice, but he hasn’t. Nobody ever escapes Justice.
John Wesley called it The Great Assize, when God sits on the Judgment Throne to pass sentence upon the guilty.
Jesus warned us emphatically about the forthcoming Judgment:
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Mtt. 12:36 KJV
Because He is The Judge.
Religion or Truth?
Satan tempts men to believe in religion rather than to accept the Truth.
Jesus said I am the truth. Jn. 14:6 KJV
Hindus and Buddhists swallow the lie of reincarnation, imagining that a life goes through many cycles of birth and death.
Not so! God’s word declares that He created man in His image, it is appointed for man to die once, and after death comes Judgment.
Who are you going to trust: Satan or the LORD Jesus Christ, in tradition or The Truth, in religion or God’s Righteousness?
