Q: What happens to believers’ savings and personal estates after The Rapture?
A: Fascinating question that has set me thinking because I hadn’t previously considered it until you asked.
No Body : No Die
I see your point; No corpse, no death certificate, no funeral: No dispersal of Estate to beneficiaries.
Responsible adult believers have the foresight to write a legal and proper, Last Will & Testament, appoint trusted executors, and lodge it with a reputable solicitor… But, of course, that Will cannot be acted upon until the testator is medically certified deceased, or terminally incapacitated.
If there’s no corpse of the testator; it would be problematic to obtain a Certificate of Death, or Right of Attorney, so Probate could not be granted, and the solicitor’s hands are tied.
Lost Without Trace
However, I’m sure the legal-bods have thought of this, and so would encourage the testator to add a codicil to their Will, covering what should happen in the event of his “disappearance”. Thus allowing them to continue to act on the basis of, “Lost, presumed dead”, as under the UK’s Presumption of Death Act 2013. (The American millionaire, and flying adventurer, Steve Fossett comes to mind, in this context.)
Solicitor’s Missing
There’s a complication; most saints would prayerfully choose a Christian solicitor to handle such matters, but they too would no longer be on Earth after the Rapture.
Beneficiaries Gone Too
Furthermore; the Will would ensure the legacy benefits The LORD’s work, and the believer’s immediate family, relatives and friends.
Because of your faithful witnessing of Christ’s love, mercy, and resurrection, your children ought to be soundly saved, and in the Glory with us, not still down here on Earth about to endure the rule of the antiChrist and Great Tribulation.
Likewise, any Christian fellowship, or organization, you dispersed your Estate to would also be raptured. Their office still present, but nobody answering the phone or unlocking the door, unless they are merely nominal ‘Christians’, in which case, they will continue their routine of dead works and religion by joining the antiChrist and False Prophet’s One World Religion
Be Prepared
This scenario is not far ahead for all Christians, so needs to be addressed.
One idea is to make provision in your Will detailing what happens should the testator be raptured.
If the person has taken out a life assurance policy; explaining The Rapture, and the policy holder’s disappearance to a godless insurance company, and expecting to receive a payout, would I suspect be a very drawn out, if not futile cause.
Conclusion
Two thousand years ago, The Glorified Christ warned believers to expect the LORD’s appearing soon, so we know that the Rapture could occur today or tomorrow, and will certainly happen seven years before the Second Coming of The LORD, and the end of the world.
Conditions on Earth after the Rapture of believers will deteriorate rapidly as the antiChrist emerges. The presence of the body of believers will be gone, and so there will be nothing restraining the forces of evil. 2 Thess. 2:6-8 KJV;
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Since that is the case, is it wise to leave your estate in the hands of unbelievers to administer?
Plainly not, so it would be better to use and disperse your wealth for the LORD’s glory before the Rapture, not afterwards.
Therefore; seek the LORD, and prepare by taking advice from genuine Christian solicitors on the matter, whilst you still have breath and opportunity.
