Jesus said that even the smallest amount of faith in God would move a mountain, and through faith, nothing is impossible for a believer in Him.
A distraught man approached Jesus and knelt before him.
…saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Holy Bible, Mtt. 17:14-21 KJV
If you are going to get anything from God, it must come through faith because;
…without faith it is impossible to please him:
Heb. 11:6 KJV
Through simple faith in Christ’s finished work, every believer can be perfectly healthy, and need never be sick or infirm.
Why are so many Christians sick today?
Why are they spending all they have on doctors whilst becoming worse?
Why do they experiment with New Age diets, often marketed as ‘Christian’ by false-teachers, and why do they meddle in occult ‘alternative therapies‘ to their eternal peril?
The reason is ignorance of the Gospel, and lack of faith in God’s word.
The most frequent cause of failure to receive healing is that people are not sure of God’s will in the matter. They say, “If only I knew if God wants to heal me or not.”
Preachers are also at fault, because the majority do not preach the healing part of the Gospel. So God cannot confirm their preaching with miracle healings. But when the full message of Christ is proclaimed, and God’s word announced, then God’s Spirit produces miraculous confirmation in those who believe the message, and act on it. That’s the way it was in Bible days, that is how it is today, because God hasn’t changed.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Heb. 13:8 KJV
Be assured, God’s word is clear, it is God’s will to heal all the sick who call on Him in faith.
For every one that asketh receiveth; Mtt. 7:8 KJV
It’s always God’s will to fulfil His promises.
Where God has shown His will by promising to do something we have no right to pray, “If it be your will”. To pray this way, is to imply that God would not keep His promise. God has promised to heal everyone who asks, just as He’s promised to forgive everyone who asks.
It is always His will to keep His promise.
That is why we can ask in absolute faith and expect God to fulfil His word. Faith is knowing God will do what He said He will do.
In John 3:16 the word ‘whosoever’ applies to all who need spiritual healing.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
In James 5:14-15 ‘any’ applies to all who need physical healing.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
The meaning of Sozo
What is the meaning of the Greek word Sozo? For the solid scriptural proof that salvation always includes healing, look each of the following verses up for yourself. It is the most exciting Bible word study you can do! They are some of the most powerful scriptures in Gospel preaching that we use all the time.
The words ‘save’ in Lk. 9:55 KJV, Lk. 19:10, 1 Co. 1:21, Jas. 5:15. And the words ‘saved’ in Mk. 16:16, Lk. 7:50, Jn. 3:17, Ac. 4:12, Ro. 10:9,13, Eph. 2:8, are both translated from the Greek word sozo, which means; ‘to save, deliver, protect, heal, preserve, be whole, and make whole’.
The words ‘healed’ in Mk. 5:23, Lk. 8:36, Ac. 14:9. And ‘whole’ in Mtt. 9:21,22, Mk. 6:56, 10:52, Lk. 8:50, 17:19, Ac. 4:9 are also translated from the same Greek word sozo which means exactly the same as previously stated.
Notice that these scriptures prove that both spiritual and physical healing are included in every person’s salvation.
The Bible order is for people to receive both blessings at the same time. Never can physical healing be separated from ‘salvation’ in scripture. The term ‘saved’ always includes perfect physical health.
The idea that physical healing by God’s power is a blessing separate from salvation is man-made, with no genuine basis in scriptures.
Anyone who checks the original text, and is willing to accept the clear facts, will also lose their prejudice against divine healing. They will see that physical healing is always included with salvation.
This is a basic Gospel fact, and the backbone of the ministry of healing.
The idea that healing is separate from salvation is false.
Healing is the life of Jesus Christ in our bodies.
To separate healing from salvation is as unscriptural and unreasonable as to separate the Healer from the Saviour. They are the same person!
When you receive Jesus Christ into your heart, you have received the Healer as well as the Saviour.
If He is willing to give you eternal life, He is willing to heal you isn’t He?
Now follow five Scriptural proofs that it is God’s will to heal all.
These simple points are the secrets of the healing ministry. If a preacher doesn’t believe and teach the following five foundation truths, he will never be successful in bringing Christ’s healing to the sick and needy.
Why are people sick today?
Ignorance of these Bible facts.
Why do they rely on medics, herbs and New Age food fads?
Because their faith is in flesh and the occult, not in God and His word.
How can anyone be healed by Christ today? By believing and acting upon these Five Scriptural Proofs of God’s Healing Covenant.
