Word and Spirit
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pe. 1:20-21 KJV
Throughly Furnished
God in The Flesh overcame the Devil and every obstacle life on Earth could throw at Him.
So He understands the struggles, and wants you to learn to rise above every evil thing that is against you today.
He knows your isolation, and points you to join with The Partner who’ll never let you down, or betray your trust.
He’s aware of your poverty and financial desperation, and will show you true wealth.
The world is an intimidating place until you are reconnected to your Maker, Defender, and Provider.
You’re not here to walk alone amidst the storms of life.
You were created to be one with God in Christ.
His plan is that you unite with God The Father.
Jesus of Nazareth shows us how, by relying on the word and Spirit of God.
By attending to Him, and doing as He leads, the believer becomes throughly furnished unto all good works. Halleluia!
It’s only as you put God’s words into practise that you recognize their infinite practical and spiritual value.
With our eyes off glistering jewels, gold, and silver, and fixed on our true wealth: The LORD Jesus Christ.
That The Man of God May Be Perfect
Please don’t think Christ had it easy because He’s God in The Flesh: No Ma’am, no Sir! Everything He did was as a believer depending on God, setting the example we are to follow. He did nothing by His own power, Jn. 5:30-31 KJV;
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
He suffered daily, learned and grew in knowledge and wisdom by trials of His faith.
Father is also permitting your trials so that you too will learn that His written and spoken word never fails those who believe and act on it.
All the Fulness
The Holy Bible teaches us that Jesus of Nazareth is unique: God’s Word in Human Flesh.
All of Almighty God that can be contained within the human frame was present in Jesus of Nazareth, here it is, Col. 2:6-9 KJV;
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
All the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Contemplate what that says to us.
No wonder when confronted by the hyper-critical Jewish religious mob, He rebuked them, Jn. 8:23-25 KJV;
And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
The Christ: The God-Man and Only Saviour: The Living Word of God
Your Saviour overcame by scripture and speaking the words Father gave Him.
He spoke absolute Truth: You must do the same to overcome Satan and obstacles.
Dare To Say What God Says
The immediate effect of those words from God was to evoke hatred and murder: The Jews plotted to have Him crucified on their behalf by their Roman masters.
Some victory for Jesus!
Death and Resurrection
But you know the glorious sequel: You’ve received the resurrected Christ, and when you were born again you experienced that resurrection power in your spirit.
That is how Father expects you to overcome.
- Attend to His words: Embrace the Scriptures and listen to His rhema word
- Believe His words.
- Speak, declare, confess His words.
- Obey His words.
- Keep trusting His words no matter what you see and experience.
Father will justify you in the midst of any apparent failure.
Amen and Halleluia!
Note also the use of throughly here; the believer in Christ is furnished from within their innermost being, the Spirit of God in their spirit, not from their flesh, mind or soul, but throughly by the Spirit and power of God. For more on this see; Throughly and Thoroughly: Are they the same?
