Meet for The Master’s Use
The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
2 Tim. 19-21 KJV
The Holy Ghost warns, in the preceding passage, to avoid profane and vain chatter, along with the errors of false teachers, and in this scripture He reminds us of the blessed Gospel Fact; that each genuine believer bears the Seal of Almighty God.
The Queen’s Warrant and Seal
The British Monarch enjoys Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce on her sirloin steak, so the manufacturers delight to display the Seal of the Royal Warrant on their condiments, “By appointment to Her Majesty the Queen.”
We comprehend their pride in such reflected glory.
The Seal of God
A glory that is as nothing compared to that which shines from the Seal of God in our hearts, that declares;
The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Halleluia! Hit the chandelier!
We have His Word and Life inside, inscribed by the Finger of God: Not in tables of stone, but in our spirits, carried by our flesh;
The Lord knoweth them that are his
Jesus knows me: He’s my LORD, I belong to Him.
Believer: The LORD Jesus Christ knows you too.
Not merely as a passing acquaintance, or distant relative, but intimately, continually, now and forevermore.
He knows all about us from the inside out: And yet still loves believers as we are.
That’s what causes us to love and follow Him.
Isn’t that a fact?
Precious Saints of God
Some preachers enjoy beating the sin drum; “Lookout, watch your step, or you’ll fall into the snares of sin. Remember you’re an unworthy worm in the dust.”
Not me: That’s unbelief dressed as humility.
I was a worthless worm in the dust, fit only to be trampled, but Jesus came by; He stooped down, He picked me up, He lifted me to behold His face, He washed me clean, He made me a new creature, He clothed me with His righteousness, and He sat me on high in Him. (Eph. 2:1-7)
I’m seated with Him in Heavenly places. He makes us conscious of our righteousness in Him. (Eph. 2:6, 2 Co. 5:21, Rom. 3:21-22)
New Creatures eat New Food
Sin?
That’s what sinners do.
I used to eat it for breakfast, dinner, and tea.
But not since He made me His child, gave me His Spirit, sealed me with His Seal;
Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
That goes with being known of God.
When God knows you: You know God, and depart from sin.
It’s what the Holy Bible teaches.
Real Christians don’t need preachers yelling at them to, “Quit sin!”
They have quit all sin because they love Jesus, and follow Him.
You simply cannot sin when you know and walk with Him. 1 Jn. 3:9 KJV;
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Isn’t that the truth?
Meet for the Master’s Use
He discipled us, tenderly enabled us to discard every dishonourable thing from our lives.
We have been made clean, holy, and useful;
…a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
Look in your mirror each morning and praise God He has made you meet for The Master’s use.
Believe and declare; “Jesus has made me ready for every good work.”
“Lookout Devil, today I am come to destroy your work, in Jesus’ Name.” Luke 4:18-19 KJV;
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
