Discover The Meaning of Life
Man craves what he was created for, but until a person is born of God, they will have no conception what their purpose really is.
Unless people fulfil the role for which they were created, there is no meaning or eternal value to their existence.
Rich & Famous
The Holy Ghost writing in Ecclesiastes, through supremely wise, and fabulously rich, King Solomon, catalogues the vanity and total futility of life apart from God, and summarises, Ecc. 2:11 KJV;
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
King Solomon, son of David, renowned for his wisdom, indulged his flesh, fulfilled all his cravings, fell into idolatry, and died backslidden, leaving a pitiful testimony.
Nothing can take the place of fulfilling our divine destiny: There’s no satisfaction in anything done without God.
I can of mine own self do nothing
A life lived apart from the LORD is meaningless: Of no eternal value.
It matters not if it was spent in noble philanthropy, or money-grubbing greed; what counts is that you died with Christ. 2 Tim. 2:11 KJV;
It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him.
Have You Died Yet?
Understand, it’s not what you do for God, He wants you reckoned dead, and embracing what He has done for you in Christ. Rom. 5:8-10 KJV;
God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Almighty God commends His Love to us; commends, means forcefully committing, unreservedly entrusting.
There’s nothing hesitant, dispassionate, or half-hearted about God’s love. He came Himself as a Flesh and Blood Man, and died for everyone, including the vilest sinner you’ll ever imagine.
The divine judgment you deserve was taken by Christ in your place: God’s wrath for His enemies was poured out on His Only Begotten Son.
How does your altruism, church attendance, and splendid tally of benevolent deeds compare with that? Is. 1:6b KJV;
…all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;
All our “good” works are dross, unworthy, and unable, to prevent God’s wrath.
There’s nothing you can ever do to save yourself from Hell and the eternal damnation you warrant.
It’s the Blood that cleanses
That is why the sinless One chose to die for you: Legally paying for your sin, once and for all, with His innocent Blood.
Father accepted His payment, it is there right now in the Holy of Holies in Heaven, testifying that the price is paid in full for the sins of the world… including yours and mine.
No other payment need ever be made by anyone.
The Work’s All Done
But it will be of no personal benefit until you truly repent and believe on Christ as LORD, and your Saviour: Believing that He, God in the Flesh, died for you, cleared your sin-debt, and rose from the dead to justify you, and give you His Life.
Embrace it, declare it, and you’ll discover peace like a river, and joy unspeakable.
Only then will you be born again, and comprehend this blessed Scripture, 2 Tim. 2:11 KJV;
It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him.
Then you will turn from all sin, and follow Jesus in spirit and in truth, knowing that you are righteous in God’s sight by trusting in the faith of Christ, what He did in shedding His Blood for you.
The Meaning of Life will come alive in your heart when you have made that covenant with God.
Conclusion
Sinners fret over the meaning of life because their lives are futile, pointless waste, devoid of purpose and satisfaction. But the instant anyone receives Christ as LORD, there will be no doubt what life is for: They know The Truth personally: He makes you free, and you will have begun your life mission with Him.
You will be eternally satisfied, and at peace.
No longer apart from God, but with Him, in Christ Jesus, fulfilling the purpose for which God created you: Walking with Father, content, happy to do His will, completing Christ’s mission.
